Are They All Green?

Jadeites, are they all green? Before joining Lotus on Water, I had the idea that all jadeites were green in colour. Just like everyone else, it was only at Lotus on Water did I learn: like diamonds, jadeites come in different colours, ranging from the common white to the relatively rare black. At Lotus, we mine our own raw jadeite boulder, hence we can assure our clients that all Lotus jadeites are made of 100% genuine and natural materials.

In terms of jadeite colours, we have the common white, lavender, green (the best being the imperial jadeite), red etc. Jadeite is written as 翡翠 feicui in Chinese, with fei referring to red jadeite, and cui being green jadeite. This is something many so-called “experts” in the field don’t even know.

Next, we also have the rare coloured: black jadeite, yellow jadeite, and blue jadeite. I have a favourite blue jadeite—Lotus Royal Heirloom Dark Jadeite—that is made up of different shades of blue.

This is what I call: Exquisite Jadeites.

But but, as rare as it can be, these jadeites can still be found at Lotus galleries, even this: The PINK Jadeite. It is simply extraordinary. If top grade green jadeite is considered imperial grade, then this pink jadeite would be princess grade. The clearer pink jadeites are usually carved into exquisite jadeite, and we have two such pieces in our gallery. They are the two pieces on the right:

You might bump into someone wearing an imperial jadeite on the streets, since Lotus on Water has been around for ten years, and we have sold over ten pieces of it. But if you are wearing a pink jadeite, chances are, you will be the only one doing so. It’s just like your wealth—belonging to the one and only you! If you can use fire element, then congratulations, this pink jadeite is for you!
