Master Yun has decided not to work with White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou anymore.
He has decided to cancel the art exhibition which was intended for the 3rd November 2017.
There are many reasons that has led to Master Yun making this decision.
The most obvious reason being that the hotel has asked for the placing of his paintings in one of the row of galleries facing the street in which the person in charge of those galleries, the manageress Han, clearly looked very unhappy when she appeared. She did not even have the courtesy of handing out her name cards. She did not seem to like Master Yun and Master Yun does not like her as well.
So after a few days of consideration, Master Yun decided not to put his paintings in the suggested gallery but requested to have his paintings exhibited at the Club Floor Lounge instead. The lady manageress who is in charge of the Club Floor Lounge is someone Master Yun knows and likes.
However, the management of White Swan Hotel isn’t supportive of this idea. So, Master Yun has decided to cancel the exhibition.
The organizer of the exhibition, Mr Tan Chern Wei, asked Master Yun why he decided to cancel his art exhibition just because of one person.
And Master Yun replied: ‘Modern’ people are overly superstitious towards ‘professionalism’. While Master Yun believes in being ‘professional’, he still believes in the simple ‘like’, a word which seems to have been abandoned and forsaken by the new age modern professional people.
For when we like another person and the other person likes us, it is the souls that connect. Just like how the beauty of art appeals to us.
No one can exactly explain the science behind beauty, liking, loving, or of appeal, charm or enchantment. It is the language of the soul, the language of the universe, the voice of God and the verdict of the Heaven.
No one can explain how "like" can bloom. It cannot be grown in the green house, manufactured in the factory or concocted in the laboratory. It is the way that Heaven speaks to us, and showing us His will and His way.
And when we walk in His Will and follow His Way, there will be great success. And in instances when there is no success, there will be pleasant surprises that is even greater than success.
In ancient times there was the Silk Route. In modern times we are trying to build the Silk Road. This route is not a physical road. It is the way, a direction, the calling of the hearts towards luxury (of the silk), the transactions, the communications and the businesses done. It is the yearning, the desire and the craving for a better life. Where there is the route (Chinese calls it Dao; Japanese calls it Tao), the road is created. Sometimes sand storms would cover part of the road, but because the route is there, a new road will always be created and re-created.
Now, we are building the road. Road is good. But we have to see if the route is there. If it isn't there, the road will only be a concrete pavement in the desert.
Many have religions. And many have religions with no faith. A road without route is a religion with no faith. When there is no faith there is no God, no love and no joy. There will be no peace. There will only be manipulation.
How do we know if the route is there?
The route is the destiny.
We have to look into our hearts to find the Star of David in our souls that will point us to our destiny.
And our love and "like" in our hearts is the Star of David in our souls.
Master Yun search in his heart on the last day of the whole period of negotiations, he only saw the vast dark and cold sky. There is no Star of David, there is no "like", and there is no route.
And so Master Yun said "no".
