Lotus on Water Has A NEW Gallery -- ONLINE!

You might have noticed, we are moving more and more of our operations online, daily. From making appointments for calls, to uploading collections onto our "Facebook Shop" (https://bit.ly/2y6Bp7r).

All these years, we have tried to ease the pace of going online, doing it gradually...me and the team would discuss, and always have some lingering unresolvable reservations. But this unique period exacerbated the whole progress. So we say: let's just try.

One of the reservations, is the price.

For you who know the standards of Master Yun and have experienced Lotus on Water, the price point is not an issue; you know and appreciate the value. In fact, I did overhear, sometimes, "wa, this thing is very cheap", or "wa, this is an excellent price for something like this". I know 😁

As much as Lotus on Water has endeavored for the past decade and more, to establish standards (and honor) in the fengshui and fengshui solutions market, they are still many people who feel that fengshui is random and jade should be as cheap as those sold on Taobao (fake also nevermind!).

And the sad thing is, these people are Chinese.

And this is their culture too.

This reveals a persistent key issue: a lot of Chinese still see their own culture no up.

Just by skimming on the internet, they feel that spending S$10k on a luxury watch is worth it, but S$10k on a piece of jade is a scam. Now, hopefully, some of these people would eventually become Lotus clients. Hopefully, they would spend some time to read the many articles we have researched on and written, and understand their own heritage better.

A path less (none!) taken, the Lotus has never buckled under pressure of mediocrity and compromise on our standards. And I think there is a higher meaning to this.

When you toss a piece of gold to an animal, the animal might sniff it, lick it, then walk away. The animal cares not about gold despite its value; the only value that the animal is concerned about: is it edible?

Humans appreciate gold. And this is one thing that sets us apart from animals: the pursuit of grandeur, the pursuit of beauty, the pursuit of otherworldliness.

When we uplift an art to its most valuable and refined form, it becomes a pinnacle of a culture, worthy of representing its people for eons to come. Just like how when we think of the French, ballet and red wine (and for some maybe LV!) come to mind.

This COVID-19 thing, I am certain we will thrive beyond this. While we are going through this unique period together, we must really uphold our humanity.

Lotus on Water has many, many beloved clients, followers and friends, whom I deeply appreciate. In fact, heartwarmingly, the Lotus has bloomed these years from a lot of referrals, clients sharing Lotus on Water selflessly to the ones they care about.

If you do appreciate the spirit of Lotus on Water as I do, take a moment to "tour" the online gallery (https://bit.ly/2y6Bp7r). Shall you see something appropriate for someone you know, do forward the link over, and let's see how the seed of prosperity germinates from there!

Stay safe, stay HUAT.
