MEGA Fengshui Painting-Calligraphy “The Flying Dragon Up at Heaven” |

[On 3rd December 2020, in conjunction with Master Yun being the first painter and Singaporean to exhibit fengshui paintings on the Great Wall of China, Master Yun embarked on the mega project of painting a calligraphy piece of 10m by 2m. The artwork comprises of many layers, and took 3 days to complete.]

Day 1:: First Layer: 《
“Opening the Heaven and Earth with One stroke, the Trinity of Heaven, Man and Earth”

“The Flying Dragon Up at Heaven” consists of six layers

The first layer is called

“Opening the Heaven and Earth with One stroke, the Trinity of Heaven, Man and Earth”

The color lines breaks up the pools of fluorescent Paint. (Yang and Ying)

The three colors represent the realms of Heaven Earth and Man.

Cyan blue represents the realm of Heaven

Gamboge Yellow represents the realm of Earth

The rouge and vermillion mixture of red represent the realm of Human.

The Tao Classic says: The oneness gave birth to Twoness, the twoness gave birth to trinity and the trinity gave birth to everything.

It is not numerical

The Oneness is the entity of Taiji, which gave birth to twoness (Ying and Yang) and give birth to the trinity ( Heaven Earth and Human), thus created everything.

Day 2:: Second Layer: 《
"Ten Wings Assisting the Dragon to Soar"

The second layer of “Flying Dragon Up at Heaven”

I call it “Ten Wings Assisting the Dragon to Soar”

“I-Ching” is the king of the six classics.

It has three authors

Fu Xi, Emperor Zhou Wen, and Confucius

Fu Xi drew the divinatory hexagrams

Emperor Zhou Wen wrote oracles to explain the divinatory hexagrams

Confucius edited and wrote “Ten Wings”.

“Ten Wings” explain the meaning of the divinatory hexagrams and the oracles

We use the White Inkstone to grind the red vermillion, and black Inkstone to grind the black ink. We mix the two inks to fill up the second layer.

With the education of “Ten Wings” the dragon is assisted to soar up to heaven.

Day 3 :: Third Layer:《群龙有道》
The third layer of “Flying Dragon Up the Heaven”.

The third layer of “Flying Dragon Up the Heaven”.

“Multitude of Dragons on the path of Tao”

The Classic reads: “multitude of dragons without head”

But the classic says it’s auspicious?

How to use art to express the scenario?

The cursive style of the character “dragon “ consists a dot (dragon head) and a curving line (dragon body).

I expand the dot to a circle, and joined one dragon with another dragon. One dragon head biting the tail of the other dragon.

After three rounds of dragons. The last dragon tail is joined with the first dragon head.

Thus, you can’t tell who is the head (or leader)

Day 3:: Fourth Layer:《飞龙在天》
“Flying Dragon Up the Heaven”.

The forth layer of “Flying Dragon Up the Heaven”.

Maybe most people have heard of “Flying Dragon Up the Heaven”

Mr Jin Yong was knowledgeable and benevolent

To have wrapped the ancient knowledge with sugary skin for us to enjoy

The phrase “Flying Dragon Up the Heavens” come from I-Ching, the Qian Hexagram, fifth Layer

It is the most auspicious layer of the most auspicious hexagram

So I use this phrase to wish China, Singapore and the rest of the world, to conquer our common enemies of Illness and crisis, and be....

“Flying Dragon Up the Heaven”

Day 3:: Fifth Layer:
 “Flying Dragon Shedding Gold Scales.”

The fifth layer of “Flying Dragon Up the Heaven”.

“Flying Dragon Shedding Gold Scales.”

For this layer I don’t even use silver.

But only pure gold flakes.

Keeping the gold flakes inside copper cymbals.

When the cymbals are opened, I waved my Buddha duster to whip the gold flakes to the air.

Gold flakes float and dance in the air and slowly stick onto the survive writing of “Flying Dragons Up in Heaven”

The Calligraphy of that phrase itself looks like a flying and swirling dragon.

If you imagine the painting to be a pool of water, it is as though the flying dragon is shedding gold scales onto Heaven and earth.

Gold never rot, never evaporated, never rust. It’s the gift of blessings from Heaven.

Day 3:: Sixth Layer:
"Sealed with Red Vermilion"

Finale!

The big seal carved with my name and title has been sent to Beijing.

I have to use my palm instead.

Some people say I am using the magical seal of “Five Mountains “. The one that Buddha has used to contain the naughty monkey king.
