Dear elders and fellow villagers, I am Yun Long Zi, formerly known as Cheah Fah Loong. Thank you for your warm welcome.
天乙居士，戴侨星先生是我的外公。我今日带着我的外婆，同我的表弟，戴邦文，一齐回故乡，一方面回乡祭祖，一方面拜会父老乡亲。
Tian Yi Ju Shi is my grandfather Mr Dai Qiaoxing. I am here with my grandmother and my cousin Dai Bangwen, back at our hometown to pay our respects to our ancestors and to visit the elders and locals.
同我一齐回来的还有我的中国朋友，新加坡朋友，梹榔屿及吉打州各大报馆的记者。
I am accompanied by my Chinese and Singaporean friends, as well as journalists from major newspapers in Penang and Kedah.
阿公讲过：客家话就是普通话，普遍话就是客家话，为了大家方便明白，我以下以普通话讲话。
My grandfather said Hakka is Mandarin, and Mandarin is Hakka. To make it easier to understand, I will speak in Mandarin now.

Dear elders, fellow villagers and friends:
我的外婆杨群英的二伯，我的太伯公是杨芷芗先生，广东大埔人，是清朝的秀才，被当时的中国政府派来中国驻槟榔屿领事馆当实习领事。
My grandmother Yang Qunying’s second uncle, who is my uncle is Mr Yang Zhixiang. He was a scholar from Dapu, Guangdong, during the Qing Dynasty. He was sent by the Chinese government to serve as a trainee consul at the Consulate of China in Penang.
我的外公戴侨星先生，福建永定出生，少年离乡到马来西亚，经过我的太伯公的撮合，与外婆结为夫妻。
My grandfather, Mr Dai Qiaoxing, was born in Yongding, Fujian. He left his hometown at a young age and came to Malaysia. Through the matchmaking of my uncle, he married my grandmother.
外公戴侨星先生曾经是吉打永大会馆的理事（坐办），也是大伯公庙的住持。但是他名成功就在于堪舆风水，批示八字命理。听说亚罗士打有一半出生的孩子都由他命名。
My grandfather, Mr Dai Qiaoxing was the committee member of the Kedah Yoon Thai Association and the abbot of the Thai Pak Koong temple. But he became famous for his expertise in geomancy and providing guidance based on people’s Eight Characters. I heard that half of the children in Alor Setar were named by him.
外公，天乙居士，戴侨星先生，育有五子十孙，在世界各地发展。
My grandfather Tian Yi Ju Shi Mr Dai Qiaoxing had five sons and ten grandchildren who is now around the world.
大儿子戴忠发先生一支在美国。今天长内孙. 戴邦文为代表，回乡祭祖，戴邦文先生在美国有几家生意，主要业务是建房起屋。
His eldest son Mr Dai Zhongfa and family is in the United States. Today, his great-grandson, Dai Bangwen returned to pay respects to his ancestors on behalf of the family. Mr Dai Bangwen has several businesses in the United States primarily in the construction of houses.
我是外公的长外孙。在新加坡发展。我继承外公的祖业，十六年前创办了云龙子风水馆。十年前由于接应客户不暇，宣布自己退隐江湖，深居简出，不面见客户。
I am my grandfather's eldest grandson and am in Singapore. I inherited my grandfather’s family business. 16 years ago, I founded Lotus on Water. 10 years ago, due to overwhelming demand from clients, I announced my retirement and no longer meet with clients.
可是云龙子风水馆依旧营业，生意昌盛，四海开花。全世界，只有两个地方没有客户，南极与北极。除了这两个地方，全球各个大州都有我们客户。
However, Lotus on Water is still in business. It’s thriving with customers from all over the world with the exception of two places: Antarctica and Arctic. Apart from Antarctica and the Arctic, we have clients from all major continents around the world.
疫情期间，我十分荣幸受中国中央电视台邀请，到长城举办我的风水画展。
During the pandemic, I was honoured to be invited by CCTV to hold my fengshui art exhibition on the Great Wall.
万里长城啊！三千五百年的历史，全球七大奇观之首，竟然是我第一个受邀请在万里长城上展览风水艺术的艺术家。
The Great Wall of China, with a history of 3500 years, is the first of the Seven Wonders of the World and I was the first artist to be invited to exhibit my Feng Shui art on the Great Wall.
除了中国，我也在欧洲荷兰，及西班牙展览过风水画。
下个月，我将会到泰国接受泰王勋章。八月受邀到日本开画展。十月到北京人民大会堂享用国宴。
In addition to China, I also exhibited my works in Europe, in the Netherlands and Spain. Next month, I have been invited by Thailand to receive a medal from the King of Thailand. In August, I have been invited to hold an exhibition in Japan. In October, I will attend a state banquet at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
这不是上天保佑，祖上遗徳，我也说不清原因。我感恩祖上几代积累的风水与恩德，今回乡祭祖感恩。
If this is not a blessing from heaven due to my ancestors’ virtues, I’m not sure what it is. I am grateful for the fengshui and benevolence accumulated by my ancestors. Today, I return to my hometown to express my gratitude.
我们将持续奋斗，不敢有误祖上颜面。也不忘故国故乡的恩情厚意。
We will work hard and never bring shame to our ancestors, and not forget the generosity of our motherland and hometown.
我们是客家人。客家客家，四海作客，不忘我家。
We are Hakkas. As Hakka, no matter where we go, we never forget our home.
大伯公庙始建于公元1862年，至今有161年历史。在不同的时代成为人民心灵的寄托与心灵安慰，给于人民前进的方向与力量。近两百年后后的今天，大伯公庙依然傲立江边，平视潮起潮落，人事变迁。这是经历了多少代吉打州华人的担当与坚持。
The Thai Pak Koong Temple was first built in 1862 and has a history of 161 years. In different eras, tt has become a spiritual sanctuary for people, providing direction and strength for progress. Today, nearly two hundred years later, the Thai Pak Koong Temple still stands proudly by the river, looking out at the ebb and flow of the tides, witnessing changes in people's lives. This is a testament to the perseverance of the Chinese in Kedah.
吉打州的朋友，我向你们致敬！
I salute my friends in Kedah!
同时，我非常感谢乡亲父老的热情接待。吉打州华人大会堂拿督钟来福先生也亲自前来相迎。实为荣幸。为了我们回故里，永大会馆会长及同仁尽心尽力，用心良苦。我知道这乃是念及了我们几代人恩情厚义。
I am grateful for the warm reception from my fellow villagers and elders. Datuk Cheng Lai Hock of the Kedah Chinese Assembly Hall came to welcome us personally. It is truly and honour. For our return to our hometown, the president and friends from the Yoon Thai Association worked tirelessly and devotedly. I know that this is due to the relationship built up over generations.
“美不美溪中水，亲不亲故乡人。”此瓢故人溫情之水，铭心永存。
“Whether the water in the river is beautiful or not, whether it is close to the hearts of the people from our hometown.” This ladle of warm water from old friends will always be remembered in my heart.
