Mr Yeo Who Does Not Believe In Fengshui and Extremely Thrifty (II)

And true enough, Lotus on Water Gallery was truly magical!

The vibe that Mr Yeo and I got the moment we stepped in after meeting his ex-classmate was stunning! The place was just so full of positive energy and somewhat mysterious and grand with the chosen interior design, colors, furniture and even the carpets (I could tell they are very expensive but maybe, I could not guess the prices correctly). It was also the first time in our lives that we saw items over couple of thousands and even millions - and these were not branded bags or cars or private properties!

So, we had the opportunity to meet up with Mr Kan, the Executive Director of Lotus on Water Gallery, for our consultation. Despite being a relatively young man, he exuded such confidence and charm through the way he carried himself and his knowledge - you will agree with me when you get to meet him in person. It was until much later that we knew he was the top student in Peking University (one of the elite C9 League of Chinese universities) and had been under direct guidance from Master Yun since a young age.

It took only minutes for Mr Kan to analyze our individual chart and shared with us about some of our past life experiences which he accurately pointed out before going into brief details of what's next for Mr Yeo and me.

Mr Kan + Lotus's very own Nine House of Prosperity

Apparently, these 2 years were not good ones for me but good ones for Mr Yeo. The best solution for us was of course to buy at least a jadeite pendant each - for me to cushion the impact and for him to grab the opportunities coming his way.

Mr Kan showed us some jadeite pendants in our favorable elements (yes, Mr Yeo and I are totally different. I would think we are fated to be together to complement each other, haha) and they were just so beautiful. They were nothing like the jade pendants I saw before... it's like I started to wonder what kind and grade of jade and jadeite the market and some other galleries had been selling. Mr Yeo and I had no prior knowledge about such gems but the standard of these items at Lotus didn't need an expert to see through its quality and value!

Given Mr Kan's knowledge and the pool of customers they already had along their 15 years of service, we were definitely not the richest and it would really not do them any good if they were to just sell these jadeite to us without helping us to improve the aspects of our lives that we wanted. To be honest, they were not lack of customers and they did not need us to survive.

We did not buy on the spot that day (because I made my promise and Mr Yeo being Mr Yeo, he needed time to make decision).

Remember how I shared in the previous article that Mr Yeo = does not believe in fengshui and extremely thrifty?

We both knew Mr Yeo was looking for a breakthrough and he was not that young anymore (35 years old last year). Everything was pretty smooth sailing for us as a couple after getting officially married in 2018 but something was missing. Mr Kan mentioned some stuff about Mr Yeo's past and they were all spot-on.

Based on the analysis of our bazi and the next 2 years, it would only make sense for Mr Yeo to go ahead and get his pendant first to seize all opportunities available. BUT this meant that he would need to pay over S$10k for his piece of jadeite which he could also use to buy a Rolex watch. Eventually, Mr Yeo went to read up all about Lotus on Water on Facebook and this blog, together with everything he could find out about jadeite online that night.

He was still a bit unsure the next day if he should go ahead. The last push he needed would be from me and so, I supported him in going for it. I know that as a wife, I may not be perfect but I can be the perfect one who encourage him and push him to achieve something more and something that he deserves. Mr Yeo is not born rich but I know very well how much potential he has as a human to achieve dreams bigger than what he ever imagine. Sometimes, having faith propels you so much forward towards your success.

In the end, he went down to make the payment the next day.

Bamboo Jadeite - For Career / Studies

That monetary output that day has given us so much more than we can ever expect from the purchase and I buy mine approximately 6 months after him. I will share Mr Yeo's story after wearing the pendant in the next article and if you are reading this right now, I am sure you are looking for something and please do not hesitate anymore.

The consultation is available on all days except Wednesdays (their off days). If you do not wish to purchase anything, they will not force you to do so. They have customers from all walks of life (the invisible millionaires, businessmen to drivers and cashiers) and they never judge the customers. If you take the leap of faith with them, they will be there for you. Afterall, if the customers prosper in wealth, health, harmony, happiness etc, they will be the walking testimonials.

Mr Yeo and I do not work for Lotus but we can vouch for them. We will be more than happy to share our genuine thoughts with you. Don't let fear of the unknown stop you from pursuing your dream and huatness.

We hope to see you in person in the gallery soon!

Mr Yeo Who Does Not Believe In Fengshui and Extremely Thrifty (I)

In one of my earlier articles, I promise that I will write another story / testimonial on my husband who visited Lotus On Water Gallery with me in March 2020.

Let's call him Mr Yeo (He loves the vibe at Lotus so much now that you will usually see him there 2 - 3 times a week. And you should go down to feel the vibe yourself). Remember Mr Yeo = does not believe in fengshui and extremely thrifty.

In fact, prior to moving into our first matrimonial house, I had heated argument with him on engaging a fengshui master. To me, it was all about setting things right so that at least I would be at peace internally, knowing that I had done what I could from the beginning as a wife to let him have a smooth sailing life after living together. However, at that point of time, I did not do enough research and randomly picked some master I read on those renovation forums as the price was "right". My decision was not met with encouragement by Mr Yeo because he felt that it was ridiculous to leave the design of our house to someone else who would not be staying in.

Anyway, I went ahead to engage the master (Mr Yeo gave in in the end to make me happy) and on the day of key collection, the master spent hours in our house before he told us about where to place certain furniture etc. I already had all the designs in my head and my own drawings but all had to be changed because we would apparently be heading towards not-so-good future if we were to insist on what we wanted. We were told to buy a mini jade mountain to place somewhere to stabilize the qi in the house. It cost us $900 and we parted with the money unwillingly. We had a lot of questions for the master but when we wanted to find out more, he would just tell us, "Do you want to prosper? If you want, just follow." So, that was the 1st encounter Mr Yeo had with me as a couple on fengshui.

Now back to Mr Yeo in March 2020. One day, I was browsing through his Facebook on his mobile and saw Lotus on Water Gallery appeared on his newsfeed. I was puzzled - why would someone like him even follow this page when he was not into Fengshui etc? The funny thing was, he looked shocked when I asked him because he totally forgot he had even liked the page. Taking his mobile from me, he saw the post that I was looking at and went, "Eh! That was my primary school classmate!" He immediately pm this primary school classmate of his and shared with me that this place was very famous and when he used to take the public transport and passed by the galleries, he would always wonder what kind of treasures and magic this place had inside.

Thinking that I am a mountain tortoise from the west, he arranged with his primary school friend to bring me down to experience with him. He warned me that I MUST NOT BUY anything there because the stuff there were very expensive and he knew I have great taste (just like how I chose him over other men). Being the good wife, I promised him that and wondered to myself how magical this Lotus on Water Gallery could be?

Viewers' Digest: Wei Wei Bring You HUAT Long Long! | 薇薇带你旺久久! (Ep7 -- The Lotus Black Inkstone)

1st May 2021, the topic on "Wei Wei Bring You HUAT Long Long 薇薇带你旺久久", was on the Duanxi Clear Waters Black Inkstone 端溪静水砚台, also known simply as black inkstone 黑砚.

Host Wei Wei invited two amazing and HUAT friends to join her. Do you know who they are?

They are...父子档 father and son, Mark and Yi Jie!!

Mark and family have two black inkstones. They got their 1st inkstone in 2020 and the 2nd one just this year.

2020 was the year when Yi Jie just started Secondary 1, for sure, a huge change from primary school for him. After placing the black inkstone, Yi Jie diligently mediated with it (will be covering this later). Miraculously, his first year in Secondary school was very smooth, probably as smooth as a Lao Keng 老坑 (highest grade!) black inkstone, and he managed to score good grades for all his subjects!

And recently, Yi Jie just completed his piano exam. He meditated with both black inkstones and managed to overcome new challenges that arose due to the COVID situation.

Mark's life also improved tremendously after placing the black inkstones! Mark regularly meditated with his black inkstones, wanting to achieve greater heights in life. Last year, Mark was promoted from a contract staff to a permanent staff! Furthermore, Mark's promotion occurred during the Circuit Breaker, a period of time when huge number of Singaporeans faced many difficulties in their career. The Black Inkstone indeed helped Mark to reach new heights in his career!

Moreover, just last month, Mark was headhunted and changed jobs, getting a much higher pay!!

But what is so special about this black inkstone? Well, the inkstone has fengshui power, helping to boost your literati (旺文昌), smoothen verbal conflicts (化口舌) and resolve legal conflicts (化官非).

The raw material, which is called Duan 端, is rare and powerful. Comes from the Duan River 端溪, hence the name, is the best of the inkstone, and has the unique ability for ink to evaporate slower during summer and less easy to freeze during winter. We only sell 端 category inkstones because it is the highest quality, and at Lotus on Water, we believe in giving the best for all clients.

During LIVE, we discussed about the 4 categories of Lotus on Water 端 inkstones. YES! 端 inkstones are further classified into subgroups.

The 4 categories are (ranked according to quality, starting from the best):

1. Lao Keng (老坑)

2. Keng Zai (坑仔)

3. Ma Zi (麻子)

4. Mei Hua (梅花)

When choosing your black inkstone, you might wonder, what should I look out for when choosing the right one? Well, there 3 things you should look out for.

1) How SMOOTH is it?

Usually, the smoother the black inkstone, the better. You can pour some water on the inkstone to better feel its smoothness.

2) "Skin" of the Earth

On the black inkstone, there are might be small patches that are rough, like the skin of stones or rocks. The presence of the skin of the earth shows that this black inkstone is carved from a source that's very close to the earths, which means stronger energy!

Yi Jie showing the skin of the earth to the audience

3) Eyes

In Chinese, we call these 眼、睛、晕.

On the black inkstone, there might be little dots on it. These are the "eyes". In the centre of the eye, if there is a little red concentration, that's the "睛 pupil". And on the edge, bluish in hue, that's the "晕 aura". These eyes, other than a testament to the quality of the black inkstone, also symbolize the power for you to look far and capture opportunities.

Numerous Eyes on this powerful black inkstone

At the start of LIVE, Wei Wei, Mark and Yi Jie showcased a majestic black inkstone called 龙舞天庭. That is actually one of the greatest treasures Lotus on Water has. Not only it is super grand, but also big enough for a full grown adult to sit on it!

This mega black inkstone has an interesting story behind it. When the huge inkstone arrived outside the gallery, 10 strong men were called upon to carry the inkstone into the gallery. However, the men couldn't lift it, because the delivery men mistook the weight of the black inkstone as 250kg, instead of 1250kg!

The delivery team and Lotus advisors were in a dilemma, either to send the inkstone back to customs, or use heavy machinery to carry the giant treasure into the galleries. In the end, we decided on the latter.

That day, it was raining heavily, which made the whole issue much more complex and difficult. Bracing the storm, they moved the mega black inkstone. Once the black inkstone touched the gallery floor, the rain stopped immediately.

As if the heavenly conflicts were resolved, and smoothened, with the mega black inkstone in place.

On this 龙舞天庭, there are 9 NINE dragons.

There are 9 dragons carved into the inkstone, can you see them?

"9" is the strongest yang number, and dragons represent status and power, bringing the entire Lotus Family more prosperity!

A lot of skill was required to carve such a fine dragon. Beautiful!

龙舞天庭 also bears the skin of the earth, has many "eyes", and is amazingly smooth. Truly a class above all!

I hope that after reading this post, all of us can better understand the Lotus black inkstone.

Stay tuned as more recaps of "薇薇带你旺久久" be coming soon!

Carp Jumping Over Dragon Gate (鲤鱼跃龙门)

Everyone loves legends and stories, so do I.

Have you heard about "Carp Jumping Over Dragon Gate  (鲤鱼跃龙门)" then?

Well, today, I will share with you about this interesting Chinese mythology.

Dragons and fish are very much well-loved by the Chinese as dragons signify power, wisdom, strength, and hidden knowledge and fish signifies abundance and affluence. And for carp to be able to jump over dragon gate, what does that mean?

Carp can be the transformation of dragons and they do have the opportunities to do so! However, it would not be so easy to achieve as they will need to overcome a huge challenge. The challenge came in the form of the Dragon Gate, which was on the top of a waterfall cascading from a legendary mountain. And if any of them managed to do so, they would be instantly transformed into dragons and flew towards the sky!

Just imagine yourself as a carp. Will you give up upon the thought of swimming upstream against the strong current or a couple of failures, thus giving up your biggest dream? And even if you manage to swim upstream and am in front of the dragon gate, will you have enough strength and courage left to make that final leap?

Well, "carp (not crap) jumping over dragon gate" is the Chinese cultural symbol for courage, perseverance, and accomplishment. It used to be an expression to describe one's success in passing the extremely difficult imperial examinations. We do not have imperial examinations now, but we are given tests and examinations in our lives.

Would you like to be like the carp that magically becomes the dragon in the sky or the carp who is contented swimming in the river? Would you want overcome the obstacles in your life and unleash your full potential this lifetime or you do not mind being a pushover by challenges in life?

Lotus On Water Gallery has an awesome piece of jadeite pendant which I am wearing now and it is known as Heaven and Earth Taiji Fish Jadeite Pendant / Double Fish Jadeite Pendant. It is actually 2 pieces of jadeite that come together and form the shape of Yin and Yang.

I personally think the philosophy of yin and yang, together with this "carp jumping over dragon gate" expression (and of course, the beauty of the pendant) suits me and calls out to me, as if it is the answer to the question of "Why are you here?" from Mr Kan.

Don't hesitate anymore, we are in the Phase 2  (Heightened Alert) of this pandemic. Do something for yourself and your family. Connect with Lotus on Water today.

Because you are worth being that dragon in your life.

Why Are You Here? - Part III

Today is exactly 8 months and 12 days after I wore my pendant last September. I personally feel it may just be the right time to share the happenings so far and more on my pendant.

I was talking about how I felt more positive and at peace despite moving into a room in office where the fengshui was really terrible. Things did not just end there. The business situation was very tense for my company last year as there were so much uncertainties in the services we provided even though the entire company stayed very focused and pushed in delivering results.

It was obvious that the results delivered by the sales were less than expectation and this drove the upper management and directors crazy (they were definitely very stressed as well). So crazy that they started to implement a 7-day working week and of course, those who stood up against this were told off rudely. Some left, some stayed.

I went ahead and put in that extra effort to report every 2 hourly on top of the daily tasks even on weekends without complaints. Thinking back, I really have to give myself a pat on the shoulder for pushing on during that period of time. Anyway, back to the work, apparently there was a day which I had to rush some last minute presentation for my CEO which I only got to finish just right before midnight. What I did not expect was the kind of reaction from my direct boss the very next day.

She called everyone into the meeting room and asked me to dial in immediately from home. Once I got into the meeting, I got dressed down mercilessly in front of the entire team because my report was delayed the day before on the 2-hourly deadline . I was shocked and stunned by the screaming while being apologetic as I knew I was at fault even though I was told to do up the presentation asap.

In the past, I would have just kept quiet and let it go and tried finding reasons for the other party. Instead, after the call, I calmed down after feeling upset and told myself that I had to let the bosses know my thoughts while acknowledging my fault and apologizing. So, I drafted a note to her and the bosses (but not including the entire team as it would not do my direct boss any good) to share how I felt, why that delay etc. Yes, it was a small matter but somehow, I just felt that I needed to voice out

I am always the nice lady whom some may take advantage of my soft-heartedness and kindness. The bosses were shocked that I voiced it out objectively and the CEO called me immediately and requested to have a chat with me the next day.

Until today, I do not know what my CEO said to my direct boss after the meet-up but I know from that day onwards, my direct boss has toned down a lot not only on me, but also on the rest of the team too. And of cos, I think words get around and the relationships within the 2 departments get even better on the ground level.

My voicing out of my thoughts have perhaps "saved" me and the rest of the team. And no, after wearing the pendant, I do not become more aggressive (haha). Instead, I gain more popularity and foster better relationships with more people. The original me is still there but my mindset and aura and everything seems to be better!

So, your next question should be, "So, why should I get this instead of the rest and who will be suitable to wear the pendant (Heaven and Earth Taiji Fish / Lotus Double Fish jadeite pendant) that you are wearing?"

Well, if you are someone who prefers a pendant with unique design (the craving is in the shape of Yin and Yang to help balance and prosper everything in the life of the lucky owner) + interesting story (I will leave it to the next article on carp jumping over dragon gate) and are looking for an upgraded version of overall enhancement in all aspects of life (especially in relationship, benefactors, then YOU should look at this.

As for whether or not you are suitable to wear this, I will leave to the experts at Lotus on Water Gallery to share with you after having a look into your chart to advise you what is more suitable for you based on your bazi AND what you are looking for as well.

I sincerely hope to see you there one day and urge you to take action now. The longer you wait to start your journey with Lotus, the more regret you will have.

Politically stable and beautiful, Singapore is a country that talents flock to and where citizens lead a satisfying life. These thoughts came to my mind after attending Master Yun Long Zi’s and Mr Zhuang Jie’s art exhibition and concert.

An internationally renowned tenor, Mr Zhuang Jie is an immigrant from China with a master’s degree from the Peking University’s Academy of Opera. A winner of numerous awards, he clinched the top award in the 8th Singapore Golden Lion International Music Arts Competition. Mr Zhuang put up an exemplary performance exhibiting the lure of his vocals. Everyone in the audience was deeply impressed and satisfied.

Master Yun Long Zi’s art is firmly rooted in the traditions of East and West, whilst employing contemporary art techniques. Marrying ink and calligraphy, Master Yun’s contemporary artworks bring joy and prosperity to whoever owns it, whether as an investment or purely to appreciate its artistic beauty! A recipient of the International Art Achievement Award and the Chinese Model Award, Master Yun held a marvellous exhibition at the Great Wall of China that made waves internationally.
