BEHOLD: The Piggy Dragon

A new Lotus auspicious jadeite series is born!

BEHOLD, the Piggy Dragon 玉旺宝气猪化龙:

A jadeite pendant, a hybrid of pig and dragon. Same rule applies, of course, you got to wear the one that is of your favorable color/element.

What does it do for you? Well, for starters, this Piggy Dragon is very helpful to those born in the year of Pig (and, for those who have a "Pig 亥" in their Bazi, if you know what I am talking about).

You have hear much about how the "Pig" has clashes in the year of Pig (犯太岁, or 刑太岁). What to do? Get friends to help. Get benefactors. Morph your pig into a dragon. 猪化龙.

According to Master Yun:

For me, it represents highly elegant, sophisticated and excellent (as the dragon is); at the same time as friendly, down to earth, relevant to majority, warmly welcomes and received (as the pigs are).

So if you want to be prosperous and power, AND well-loved, wear the Lotus jadeite Piggy Dragon.

But where did this design come from? As creative as Master Yun is, Master Yun did not come up with the Piggy Dragon from scratch. Master Yun revitalized it:

I must say it is not created out of nothing.
While it is the first hand jadeite. As in, we carved it out of raw jade, the symbol is a very ancient one.
The symbol was excavated by archaeologists and calculated to be more than 5,000 years ago.

I think that's really something. We must first consider the historical context. In ancient China, ONLY people of status can own and wear jade. And in some periods, ONLY royalties can wear jade. Hence the Chinese word for jade "玉" is a pictorial representation (hieroglyph) of a royalty (王) wearing a piece of jade by the belt, represented by the dot.

And this Piggy Dragon motif, is one of the jade symbols they carried.

This resonates with the spirit of other Lotus on Water collections.

Lotus on Water inherits heavily from our history and culture, and we adapt them to our modern world. I am sure you know of Master Yun's heritage (6th generation), his accolades (First Class Honours in Chinese), his style.

His creations are not mindless copies of what was, but discerningly thought-out and chosen epitomes of our culture's most prosperous, most elegant. Hence, Lotus on Water collections are historically and culturally tested.

His creations are a fashion of its own, not just a fad. A durable beauty. You bought it 10 years ago, it is still "in fashion" now. You buy it today, it will still awe others 10 years later.

Most importantly, Master Yun's creations are powerful. His insistence on quality and authenticity throws "old players" in the market light years away. They are not just beautiful, not just culturally-enriched, but they also make a difference to your life.

When you are looking at a piece of Lotus jadeite, you are looking at a commitment. You are looking at a distillation of generations of experience, studies and re-thinking.

You are looking at a stringent and willing-to-sacrifice manufacturing process, which only 10%-30% of jadeite might just make it to our shelves.

You are looking at a spirit that transcends time, connects with the universe, and makes an impact on your life.

May you be as lovable as a pig, and as prosperous as a dragon.
