To Your Majesty, my respected Thai King and people, my respected Chinese leaders and people, my respected friends from all over the world.

I am very honored today, to come to Bangkok Thailand, to receive the special awards and decoration of the Thai King His Majesty:
2023 ASEAN Most Influential Enterprise,
2023 ASEAN Personage of Philanthropy,
Imperial Order of King of Thailand.

我虽然出生在马来西亚，现在是新加坡公民。泰国及泰国人民，在我心中有一个特殊的地位。正如中国，在我心中也有一个特殊的地位。
Although I was born in Malaysia, I am now a Singapore citizen. Thailand and Thai people, possess a special place in my heart. Just like China, also possesses a special place in my heart.

我出身在一个风水世家，家中好几代人是风水师。我三十岁出道，四十岁宣布退隐江湖。虽然我创立的云龙子旺财馆持续蓬勃发展，但我个人自四十岁开始深居简出，闭关修炼。
I was born in a family heritage of Feng Shui. Many generations of people in my family were Feng Shui Masters. I started my Feng Shui career at the age of thirty, and retired as an emeritus master at the age of forty. Although Lotus on Water, the institution I have established, continues to flourish and develop, but I started my secluded and meditative life since forty.

我修行的其中一个法门便是书法画画，将冥思里头所领受到的灵感及启发挥洒于纸上。
One of my methods of meditation is painting and calligraphy. I transfer the inspiration, revelation and enlightenment I have gotten from my meditation onto paper.

2017年我在新加坡开了第一场风水画展。似乎是天地应和，脚一步踏出去，路便开了。法国罗兰柏悦香槟主动赞助了我，柬埔寨的天娑王子愿意成为我的主宾。
2017, I held my first solo feng shui art exhibition in Singapore. It was as though the heaven and earth conspired in orchestration, the path opened as I marched my first step forward. The French Laurent-Perrier Champagne has since been my sponsor. His Royal Highness, Prince Tesso Sisowath of Cambodia agreed to be my guest of honor.

2018年，我在泰国曼谷开了一场风水画展，那是我走出新加坡国门，向海外出航的第一场风水画展。所以我的心中对泰国有一份特殊的感恩，特别的情感。
In the subsequent year 2018, I held a feng shui art exhibition in Bangkok Thailand. That was my first art exhibition out of my own country traveling towards the world. Thus, Thailand will always hold a highly esteemed position of gratitude and love in my heart.

2020年，全球经历疫情的肆虐。在这水深火热的情况，中国中央电视台邀请了我上万里長城展览了我的风水画作。中国的万里长城有三千五百年的历史，是世界七大奇观之首，我却是第一个上万里长城开画展的艺术家。我认为这是我这一生最最大的荣耀。所以中国于我，更有一份非比寻常的情深义重。
In year 2020, the world was tormented by the pandemic. At such a crucial period, I was invited by China Central Television to hold my Feng Shui Art Exhibition at the Great Wall of China. The Great Wall of China has a grand history of 3500 years, the greatest wonder of the world, and yet, I was given the privilege to hold my art exhibition there as an artist. It is the greatest honor I have received in my entire life. Thus China also has a special esteemed position in my heart.

我记得当年准备在泰国曼谷办画展之时，非常不幸的，泰国先王拉玛九世仙逝。泰国举国哀痛，全球震惊。我虽然不是泰国公民，可是对于泰国先王的种种善举，早有所闻。心中对于先王敬天爱民的神性人品，是敬虔地景仰而祟拜。
I remember when I was preparing for my Bangkok art exhibition in Bangkok, the late Thai King, His Majesty Rama the Ninth passed away. The world was shaken. And all the Thai people were deeply sadden. Although I am not Thai, I knew for ages, the many benevolent acts of His Majesty. I deeply respect with great admiration, the godly spirit and humane touches of his majesty the late King.

据我所知，当今泰王也十分热心公益慈善事业，特别是教育事业。有句话说，“于人以鱼不如于人以渔”。对于当今泰王的公益慈善的方式，我特别打从内心地认同。
I am also told, that the present Thai King, His Majesty Rama the Tenth, has always committed greatly and wisely, to acts of kindness, especially in the area of education. It is better to teach one how to fish than to give one a fish. I agree, with all respect and admiration, the methods of sowing kindness to the world, of His Majesty, the present Thai King.

今天，在中国领导的引荐之下，我又到了泰国来，十分荣幸地获颁泰王特殊的“公益慈善”奖。我必须说，接受此奖，我自认“不夠资格”。我更愿意以学子虚心请教的心态，借此奖激励并提醒自己，向两任泰王的祟高人格学习。
And today, through the recommendation of Chinese leaders, I have arrived again to Thailand, to receive the special Awards and decoration from His Majesty. I must say I feel undeserving. And that I should, with humility of an ernest learner, take this opportunity of the awarded decoration, to inspire and constantly remind myself, to learn and emulate the godly benevolent personality of Their Majesties.

我们不但赏识社会中高生产力的人，也得给于社会中没有生产力或低生产力的人提升的机会，特别是学习及教育的机会，让他们也能夠为世界作出正面的影响与贡献。
We give recognition and reward not just towards the members of the society who are highly productive, but also opportunities towards those in the society who are incapable of productivity so that they may rise to be capable of giving positive contributions and influence to the world.

尊敬的泰国国王与人民，尊敬的中国领导与人民，尊敬的来自全球的朋友们，感谢您给于的机会，我向您学习来了。
To the highly respected Thai King Your Majesty and the Thai people, to the respected Chinese leaders and the people, to the friends from all over the world, thank you for this precious moment and opportunity. I am here to humbly learn from you.

Yes, even fengshui can be an art.

That is, after Master Yun listened to his inspirations, endeavored despite “common” business sense, and led well ahead of fengshui or art experts, for years.

Master Yun presents his fengshui art mainly through fengshui paintings and fengshui calligraphies.

And since they are art, they are, firstly, beautiful.
(Seems like a redundant statement to make, but trust me, there is “art” nowadays that’s downright ugly...some, on purpose, some, unintentionally so.)

The beauty of Master Yun’s art appeal to the senses of the people, even to the many who are uninitiated. Probably that’s why, many who have collected Master Yun’s fengshui art, that’s their first painting or calligraphy they have ever invested in.

For the seasoned art collectors, while they can decipher Master Yun’s fengshui art with their years of technical experience and collectors’ wisdom, benchmark against the works of other contemporary artists and grand masters of bygone times, and extrapolate the potential value of Master Yun’s fengshui art, they too, are moved by the splendid beauty of Master Yun’s fascinating colors, powerful strokes, and abundance of glittering gold.

As one of my Hong Kong client who is also an art connoisseur (he has super VIP access to all prestigious art fairs in Hong Kong, and the top art galleries all know him by name...that kind of level) said: he can feel the energy from Master Yun’s fengshui art.

One can really say: Master Yun’s fengshui art speaks to our souls.

And for a piece of art to be beautiful and soulful, it has to be (at least) original and authentic. Not just any clichés (no offense to the overused “9 horses” or “8 kois” imagery...they are just different), not just any prints or soulless imitations, not just something that can be bought from Taobao and resold to Singaporeans under the guise of flowery marketing...

I am sure Singaporeans are wise enough.

I am sure art collectors, all around the world, are tasteful enough.

And I suppose that’s why, Master Yun’s fengshui art are sold at a record breaking momentum, and collectors proudly displaying them.

Now, we are all familiar with fengshui jewelry. Intimately so, for sure, since you are wearing your Lotus collections, beautifully, proudly, prosperously.

 

 

The concept of wearing something to improve one's luck, I think it definitely has been around for a while. But it was really Master Yun who insisted on it, persisted on the high standards, defined what can wear and what cannot wear...and coined the term "fengshui jewelry".

You have already seen how creative Master Yun is with his fengshui paintings and calligraphies. Let us remember, Master Yun's creations in the realm of fengshui art, also manifest through fengshui jewelry.

Take our jadeite Zodiac Guardian Buddha series for instance. Though we just released this series in 2020, Master Yun actually already drafted/sketched them way back in 2015.

Also the top favorite Lotus jadeite Zhong Kui 钟馗, which so many clients have been buying since the gallery was founded. I still remember how I remarked to Master Yun in 2006, that how would anyone buy such a fierce-looking (like, 面目狰狞) design...guess what?

And also the Lotus jadeite ammonite 玉彩螺. When the gallery first started, a client brought over a fossil ammonite and asked if we sell something like that. I said, we only sell fengshui jewelries carved of jade. To which this client said: oh, I will definitely buy one if you carve a jadeite ammonite. And Master Yun went ahead to design and had them carved. Guess what, she didn't come back to buy. But the jadeite ammonite became one of our hottest collections, even till today.

Each line of fengshui jewelry has its origin story, which fuels the souls of the Lotus collections. Which is probably also why, it just feels different wearing Lotus fengshui jewelry. The unexplainable sense of wholesomeness, fulfillment, happiness...I am sure you can feel the soul and spirit of your Lotus collections.

It is free-of-charge to make ridiculous and laughable claims in today’s world. And there’s endless people doing that, claiming that they come from a lineage of fengshui masters (with no proof whatsoever), claiming that they came up with this or that design (which is blatantly a copy, and worse, a lousy and ugly imitation)...but I suppose sensible people can see and feel the difference.

Breathing Lotus - Rewarding experience

Last week, the entire office was asked to stay back for an important conference call with our main office in Chicago.  We do not know what to expect, and not even our CEO knows what is to be spoken.  On that night, we were surprised to hear that I had won Associate of the Quarter award from January to March this year.

 

I had been with this team for just over a year and was given plenty of opportunities to stretch my potential.  It was very easy to yield to natural habits of grumbling and negativities, leading to spirals downward.  But, I recall that we were all wearing Lotus treasures and with Lotus on Water and served as cultural ambassadors, spreading the brand of good fengshui, right from the same source that advised the imperial family.

 

If the imperial dynasties can rule the large land of China for hundreds of years, what say the advice given to enable this.  I had the privilege like many of our Lotus clients, to have the affinity to know about Lotus and wear Lotus.  Then we should live Lotus and breathe Lotus.

 

Lotus on Water is about wealth.  Wealth comes from prosperity, which comes from progress borne out of excellent standards.  Then I should bring this level of excellent standards to my work habits.  I poured the Lotus standards into my work, and my work poured the gratitude back to me in the form of an award.  With this award, I am given US$500 and a trophy.
