Making a Living out of your Passion

If you wouldn't do it for money, don't do it for free.

This is an ironic statement, because most of the items in Lotus on Water are here to aid you to improve your prosperity in life. But if you can chase after something you love while money is chasing after you, isn't that the best circumstances in life anyone can get?

Yes, at some point of time we have to prioritize our financials first instead of what we love, because we have our commitments, and our passion is just unable to sufficiently provide for us. Some of us had been there, tried that. Because some passion of ours are just not conventional to be widely accept, generally understood. Sadly enough to say, most of the time, we listened, and we moved on. Because you admitted to yourself that the fact is, the chances of succeeding at it is comparatively lower than getting paid out of a 9-5 job.

My Lotus Crystal Guan Yin - the Quarrels and the Prosperity

I wanted to make this decision but I want to give it a chance. Hence, I ask my Lotus advisor for the cure and he said you can consider a Crystal mountain but it's either you will quarrel even more or just forget about the whole issue. I thought why not go ahead, since there's a 50% chance of getting it solve.

But I was not interested with the Crystal mountain options that my Lotus advisor gave even though they are well within my budget. There's always something that I wasn't pleased, like the shape, carving, size and so on. Then he asked me if I wanted to choose one from the Buddha/Guan Yin Crystal sculptures. A very clear picture of what I  want, formed in my head and I asked: Is there a Guan Yin whom is in sitting position. To my surprise, there is one which is slightly above my budget. I fell so much in love with the clarity, the rainbows and smiling Guan Yin carving that I placed the payment immediately.

Master Yun gave two installation dates, one is the stronger one, for which I will have to take on and handle this stronger effects if I choose this. I thought why not go ahead, have the courage to take it on.

In the immediate days and weeks after the installation, quarrels with my husband intensified. We quarrel about little things, like placement of things, he got sick with gastric problems, and went to A & E. We even quarrel in the Lotus gallery. I started to question my decision, what my purpose of installing a Lotus on Water crystal is? I remembered on the day of installation, my Lotus advisor also mentioned that crystal mountain helps to improve career progress, wealth accumulation and I may move to a bigger house. And so, I started to dream what kind of career improvements my husband and I can have.

He have better bonus, better reviews, better and more customers. I had more overseas business trips, better reviews and more job opportunities. I gain happiness and insights about life. I joke more with my husband, did more sharing, building better relationship. Then, one of the Lotus client and friend of mine asked me why did you get the Lotus Guan Yin as the crystal mountain? I started to think very hard and couldn't recall exactly why. Oh, so I really forgot about the whole issue like what my Lotus advisor said? I then remember something about quarrels, oh, I decided at that time why not go ahead, get the Lotus cure and put off the divorce.

When she asked, it gives me the idea to share my answer here, my experiences, the anxiety before the happiness, the dark storms before the sunny rainbow, the turbulence waves before the calm sparkling sea. My husband still continue to receive better reviews, better bonus, better and more customers. I am in an engineering job that I desire, learning and gaining surprising recognition. Would you bear to risk it upon them?

This geek in the picture is the frequent guest of Lotus on Water videos, and also my boyfriend.

And this is Oprah, you should be able to recognize her as the richest African-American woman who gives positive and inspirational speeches.

Now, where’s the link, you asked? Years ago, my friend introduced me The Secret, the book that explains the Law of Attraction, and how to use it to your advantage. Basically, it’s saying to use positive thinking to attract the things you want into your life. And one of the biggest spiritual teacher during that time (maybe also now), was Oprah. We frequently watched her shows, and how she encourages people to pluck up their courage to pursue their dreams.

So this geek of mine is a talented engineer (still am), he was a high flyer in his dying industry. He wasn’t doing exactly what he wanted to do, and since this industry is going down, there is absolutely no point in carrying on. So I did what I did- I asked him to quit, which turned out to be a major disaster.

He was jobless for more than a year. No matter how much we meditate and visualize, things weren’t turning around and his bank was slowly depleting. A year may fly for some people, but during that time, every single day of my life was drowned in guilt that felt too long than it should.

Long story short, we found Lotus on Water and our jadeite and months later, he’s working as a design engineer, and the rest is history.

I may speak too much of the negativity, too little of the success, but that’s because my motive isn’t to convince the successful people to tweak their loose ends, I’m trying to tell those people who feel they are down and out and that nothing’s gonna help- I feel you, and you know what? Things can change for the better.

As for the positive current situation, what more do I need to say? A genuine, happy smile like this from your loved one warms the heart a million times more than the satisfaction you can actually get from your own accomplishments.

For us, solely maintaining a positive mindset did not bring me to a better place, it was Lotus on Water’s fengshui together with positive mindset that did the work. Yes, I admit a lot of people out there did not use Lotus on Water items but have also claimed their success, but when someone you love are stuck in the rut and is too afraid to purse their dreams, you know deep down in your heart if he chooses to give up what he has right now to go for it, there is always a certain percentage of possibility that he might eventually end up failing and never to be able to stand back up on his feet again.

Do you want to take that chance? Or you do you want to spend some money to get that little something that might aid him in his success, and pushing it to its peak? Because for me, there is nothing in the world that is worth more than seeing him happy, knowing that his life is better.

I’m sure almost everyone has someone they love- family, parents, children, and partners. In fact, that’s why we are still around, for everyone and everything we love. You may bear to risk your own life, but can you bear to risk the life for someone you hold dearly to heart, to see them suffer just because you can’t bear to part with the money?

Think about it.

Have you Harvested what you Sow?

When a farmer cultivates the field for plantation, there are more to its process than what meets the eye. The germination needs just the right amount of water, the field needs to shoo away the rats and crows. And even at times you had made full preparations and taken all precautions, unforeseeable circumstances can make all your effort go to waste. Farmers depends very much on their harvest for their livelihood, but after so much work, harvest is still not a guarantee.

Ok don't quote me, because honestly I know almost next to zero about what farmers do. :P

But I do know a thing or two about life, and how it can let you down despite how talented you are, or how much pain and sweat you've put in for that something that you really want.

Because I've been through, I've been it so many times I've lost counts. I've never thought of myself as  stupid or talentless, but the increasing number of failures in my life made my start to doubt myself. In the end, I stopped trying altogether. Not being blessed with the knowledge of the power of fengshui, I've been circling around the same spot for so long I've wasted so much of my time and opportunities.

But I was blessed, because somehow after hanging out along Upper Thomson for almost 10 years, I finally spotted the stretch of glamourous looking shops that have turned my life around. 

For those of you out there who understands the woes I've been talking about, have you tasted your fruit of labour? Have your hard work and prayers rewarded you with the best you've always been wishing for? Don't you just wish you that one thing you've been working so hard for your entire life is finally happening for you? Right in front of you?

To those out there who are reading this- don't be me. I didn't have to chance to wonder and ponder behind that screen of yours, thinking whether should I come down… or should I not come down. I wasn't blessed to know about it earlier than I would like but I walked in the minute I know about this place. It wasn't a 180 degree change, but it's continuously improving.
