7 Reasons Why You Should Own Master Yun's Fengshui Paintings

By now, you should have seen Master Yun's fengshui paintings. If you haven't...come on, you really need to catch up!

I am sure you are amazed when you first saw Master Yun's paintings. As like many other creations of Lotus on Water, they surprise, they inspire.

By this time I am writing, many blessed clients have already collected Master Yun's astonishing fengshui paintings. Enjoying them, day and night, that I am sure. Master Yun's fengshui paintings speak to every one differently. A different connection, a different kind of communication...and here are 7 reasons why you should own Master Yun's fengshui paintings. Maybe one of these seven speaks to you. Maybe all seven speak to you...

1. There's real gold and silver

Not mere gold paint, but real gold. 24k, 22k and some 18k to create the layers. And real silver. Gold is for eternity. Its value and beauty transcend cultures. In an age when distractions are rampant and short-term sensations are worshiped, Master Yun's fengshui paintings ground us in the bedrock of empires and dynasties, bringing us back to the times of idealism and attainment.

2. Cannot be duplicated, cannot be copied

If you can't manage to get Picasso's original painting, you can get an official print of it, which is still sold at a very high price. But you can't get a copy of Master Yun's fengshui painting, once you let it slipped through your fingers. Even Master Yun cannot duplicate his own work. It has got to do with the technique, partly.

There are at least three layers of color-splashing in Master Yun's fengshui paintings. An ancient Chinese painting technique, 泼墨法, inherited and revived. Master Yun innovated by incorporating oil painting techniques, doing several layers of it, splashing the next layer after the previous one is dried. And so, the colors would not mash up, but manifest into a few distinct layers of vibrancy.

As to how the splashings would turn out to be, no one will know. Not even Master Yun.

3. Layers and layers of blessings

If you are less of an "art person", you would ask: what has this layers of color-splashing got to do with me? What you should know is that the process of painting is not just simply painting. For Master Yun, painting is meditation.

After Master Yun officially retired from seeing new clients in October 2012, he focused on meditation through painting. So when you are having Master Yun's fengshui paintings at home, you are surrounded by the resonance of Master Yun's prayers of prosperity and elegance. Compounded blessings from the different layers, if I might add.

4. Glowing in the dark

We now know that it is because of the luminous paint. But it is the effect that elevates the purpose and power of Master Yun's fengshui paintings.

In bright daylight, you see peacocks and peonies. Under UV light, they transform into stars of the universe, milky ways, meteor showers and planets in orbit. I interpret this as a process of metamorphosis, of transformation. You are meant to be better than today. You can, if you set your eyes to the stars.

5. Words of prosperity

Like a traditional Chinese painting, Master Yun writes calligraphy on his fengshui paintings. Unlike his predecessors, Master Yun writes modern poems that expound prosperity and happiness, not about sorrow, diaspora or zenness. In some pieces, Master Yun even writes English.

Talking about a sense of prosperity that transcends cultures, like gold.

6. Your fellow collectors are Royalties and experts of the art industry

When you buy a house, you want to check out who are your neighbors. Surely, you want to have good neighbors. That's why "a good neighborhood" is a plus point for property investment. When it comes to buying paintings, while aesthetics, feelings and meaning are definitely crucial, the "neighborhood" is important too.

Till date, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, Her Majesty Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, Her Royal Highness Princess Norodom Buppha Devi have collected Master Yun's fengshui paintings.

Mr Manuel Rabaté, Director of Louvre Abu Dhabi, Ms Alexandra Pereyre de Nonancourt, owner of Laurent-Perrier, are also your "neighbors".

7. You are the peacock

With gold and luminous stars, surely, Master Yun's fengshui paintings are not of the realism discipline. Master Yun is also not painting the biologically accurate peacock. For starters, peacocks don't have red or yellow bodies, nor gold and silver feathers.

This peacock is your avatar. It represents the best that you can be. Amidst the layers of color-splashing, Master Yun has to discover the peacock, how best to manifest it. The uncontrollable color-splashings represent what we are born with, our background, things that we cannot choose. But we can decide what to do with our future. And that is you -- you can improve and prosper your future. Just like the peacock that Master Yun paints, you can be the best of yourself.

Time to invest in Master Yun's fengshui paintings.

Rosy, in Wealth and Harmony

Before you go on, take a minute to absorb the beauty of this:

Guan Yin at ease, visited by the phoenix. Rose quartz.

And it's stunning. Its beauty is astonishing. Dumbfounding.

Perhaps it's due to the super-clarity of the rose quartz. Rose quartz tend to be opaque. Something like this, once in a blue moon. No, "pink" moon.

Perhaps it's the intricate carvings and the attention to details. The contemplation of Guan Yin and the dawn of the phoenix.

Or maybe it's the warmth that shines through, leaving even me amazed by its beauty.

Don't get me wrong. Lotus on Water crystal sculptures are all prosperous and elegant in their own right. Just that some are more special. Some, are more recommended.

Beautiful as this roze quartz Guan Yin might be, what can we use it for?

As a crystal mountain of course. To activate the mountain star/energy of a place (READ HERE if you have no idea what I mean).

And more. Rose quartz has special blessings. It is especially strong in prospering relationships and benefactor lucks. The harmony of the family and with people in business.

It is also pertinently powerful in the 9th cycle fengshui (year 2024-2044). In the 9th cycle, the SOUTH shall be the most prosperous. The SOUTH is represented by the FIRE element. Things, businesses, directions associated with FIRE shall be most auspicious. And rose quartz is one of them.

So if you are doing up your fengshui now, or looking forward into the future (9th cycle), take a minute to look at this rose quartz Guan Yin.

Then, bring it back.

RECAP(3): Focus On The Light

As we are counting down to Start of Spring 立春, we had our last and very important session of Annual Fengshui Talk. THANK YOU for packing the Lotus galleries so enthusiastically!

In the last session, we covered TWO very exciting sectors.

First, the INDIRECT WEALTH sector. Or what we commonly call, 偏财, or windfall luck. But it's more than that. It's generally the second source of income. Could be your investments, could be your second career.

My recommendation to activate the annual indirect wealth spot, other than lighting the Five Paths of Wealth Incense, you place sandalwood -- beads or pendant, or even sculpture -- at that designated spot.

In case you need a revision, agarwood is to activate direct wealth, and sandalwood is for indirect wealth.

To have a sandalwood pendant or a string of sandalwood beads would be a more long-term remedy. You would just need to shift it to the new spot every year. Of course, before you can achieve this, light the Five Paths of Wealth Incense.

The second sector is the SOUTH. Now, you might have read or hearsay from elsewhere that the south sector for 2019 (己亥 Earth-Pig year) is not such a pleasant/positive sector. We at Lotus on Water are more optimistic. And more thorough in our analysis.

The south sector in 2019 is literati energy, especially useful for those who need to be eloquent in their daily work. It also brings progression, and good fame. I strongly encourage you to make good use of this sector in 2019.

And there are many ways to activate the south sector energy. Surely, you can light the Five Paths of Wealth Incense there. You can also place either sandalwood or agarwood, or both. There's much to harvest and gain from 2019's south.

And with these two sectors, I covered all NINE sectors of 2019's annual fengshui. But I emphasized: it is not necessary for you to do up all nine sectors immediately, nor would it be efficient.

You got to recognize what is crucial to the configuration of your house and office, and to your situation, your concerns and ambitions for 2019.

Another rule-of-thumb you want to bear in mind is, focus on doing something positive, for prosperity and long-term, not just defending. The saying is 一白遮三丑, which means one area of light shall chase away three areas of shadow. Focusing on what you can achieve and prosper is not just a more efficient way of doing fengshui, it is also a more impactful path.

Imagine, a decade later, the gains you achieve every year shall accumulate. And you would have transformed into a much more enriched, prosperous and happy person. This won't happen if you keep focusing on what's bad and how to defend against it.

This guiding principle also morphed the way I structured my talk sessions this time round. I like to call them "sets of yin and yang". On one hand, you defend; on the other hand, you go all assertive to achieve.

Here's a summary.

To ward off accidents and illnesses, place the big bronze coins and tea hulu; but a more assertive way would be to place your crystal mountain for long-term health and relationship benefits, and have your agarwood too.

To smoothen conflicts and problems by malefactors 小人, place the Duanxi Clear Waters Black Inkstones; but a more powerful way would be to have strong benefactors and poise yourself as a victor with the Imperial White Inkstone.

Strive to be better in 2019. Strive to be better every single year.

HUAT ON.

RECAP(1): Why Agarwood and Mountain Matter in 2019

Despite having 2 timings for one session, I was still greeted by an overwhelming and passionate crowd on both days for my Annual Fengshui Talk. What a weekend.

For my first session, I covered 3 annual flying stars for next year (2019, 己亥年 Earth-Pig year). 2 of them are most terrible stars, Five Yellow 五黄 and Two Black 二黑, which brings disasters/mishaps/accidents and illness/depression/delays/confusions respectively.

In short, they are just terrible. And should be warded off at all costs.

The solutions are direct. For the Five Yellow spot, place 9 big bronze coins 大铜钱. The ones from Lotus on Water of course, solid bronze. For the Two Black spot, place 4 Pu'er Tea Hulus 老树生普葫芦九帝钱. Specially created by Master Yun, at about 600grams each.

There is really no compromise when it comes to these 2 evil spots.

And if you are familiar with the philosophy of Lotus on Water, the way we see, believe, and do things, you would know that's not the end of the story. Defense alone is not enough. Defense alone, is just losing ground slower.

Take a more assertive and positive stance. And so we have the 3rd annual flying star for 2019, the Eight White star, which brings direct wealth, and is smacked right in between Five Yellow and Two Black.

The solutions to boost this spot for direct wealth are also consistent. You can either light Five Paths of Wealth Incense, or/and hang a piece/string of agarwood there.

Agarwood has the ability to absorb obstacles and convert them into opportunities. In 2019, having agarwood in the sector of the Eight White star prospers your direct wealth, yes, it also helps you to convert intruding negative energies of illness and disasters.

When you take care of these 3 annual flying stars in 2019, you are taking both offensive and defensive positions.

An alternative, would be to place your crystal mountain. Crystal mountains are about the big cycle of fengshui of your house, and they take care of health, relationships, benefactors. You don't want to just not be ill, you also want to have good health and relationships.

Still, as to how heavily these annual stars affect your home and office, we have to go through one-to-one. If you haven't made your appointment for your annual review, it's about time!

RECAP ON TALK 3: Be Assertive, Have Your Imperial White Inkstone In Place

And so, we have concluded the 3 sessions of Annual Fengshui talk. I am really touched by your support, faith, and turnout -- we accommodated more seats, still fuller than full-house!

But, that is just the beginning, right?

In the 3rd and final session, we talked about another set of 一白遮三丑 (one white covers three ugliness) -- when you enhance one area of auspiciousness, three sectors of bad energies are suppressed. We covered the first set in our second session: pumping up our annual wealth lucks (both direct and indirect) to counter crisis, accidents, illness; using agarwood and sandalwood to attract prosperity to us, absorb negativity and convert them into opportunities. We have a recap here.

There are 三煞 "3 Sha" (in general, we can understand as conflicts) in 2017 (丁酉). Ranging from mere verbal conflict to unwanted fame, even to legal conflicts. I emphasized in the last session: the intensity of these 煞, whether they impact you positively or terribly negatively, really depends on you. Whether you are going to smoothen the impact, tackle it, convert it, or ignore it.

Yes, we can smoothen the impact of such conflicts. Just place the Duanxi Clear Waters Black Inkstone 端溪静水黑砚台 at prescribed locations.

Many are already aware, the Duan category of black inkstone is the top grade of inkstones (from Song Dyansty to recognized auction houses today) -- as like other Lotus collections, we always go for the top order of things, right? -- it has the subtle power of "冬暖夏凉" (warm in winter, cooling in summer), a good agent to appease arguments and fights.

So this is one action that you can take. And since there are 3 areas of conflicts, if you want to defend against all 3 spots, place 3 Duanxi Clear Waters Black Inkstones.

3?? Ok, hold that thought.

I also urged you, in my last session, to face such potential conflicts with courage, to embrace them. We have to admit that certain conflicts are necessary. Without potential conflicts, there won't be talks, there won't be negotiations and discussions. All is but silent. Bad news for people in business. Bad news for employees too. There won't be even talks about your promotion. Just still as water.

The key thing is to emerge victorious from such imminent conflicts and negotiations. That's when your 一白遮三丑 comes in. Instead of defending, be assertive. Use your Imperial White Inkstone to up your status, power, benefactors, and subdue the negativity that might emerge from the conflicts.

We spoke about the Imperial White Inkstone for years, despite we might only be able to harvest less than 10 pieces every year. Here: http://lotusonwater.blogspot.sg/2014/10/exquisite-lotus-collection-sold-to.html

And we did MANY episodes on the Imperial White Inkstone before:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMWHTDGlC8Q&list=PLAga51AM1ga0i-YRuLd7slr3waJD1811l

Much has been said about the rarity and power of the Imperial White Inkstone, and there is still much to revere about it (do refer to the notes given out during the sessions).

But just as a recap, know this: with one Imperial White Inkstone, while you are covering the conflicts from 3 sides, you are also boosting your benefactor and victory power.

This is why we keep emphasizing 一白遮三丑. It is an efficient way to get your annual fengshui done up. You secure the key positions, while they minimize the negative interference, you are benefiting and prospering as well.

And this is also a way of life -- I did say before, the Lotus prosperity is about having Lotus collections, and also making prosperous decisions at every possible turn. Instead of choosing to be neutral or not-that-bad, go for victory, go for prosperity.

Here's a summary of the 3 sessions that we had, coming from this perspective:
1. Leverage on your big cycle of fengshui, we need all the boost we can get for 2017.
2. Agarwood is the necessity. You need it to boost your wealth luck, and to absorb and convert. If you have agarwood, boost it with your sandalwood. You are overcoming the intrusion of the evil brothers of crisis star and illness star.

3. Be assertive. To defend is good. But not good enough. Have your Imperial White Inkstone to boost your benefactors and victorious power.

So this is yet another beginning. Remember to fix your appointment with us to go through your floorplans to see how we can appropriate these annual remedies for your 2017.

Let's make your 2017 a game-changing and prosperous one. Huat on.

RECAP ON TALK 2: For 2017, Agarwood Is THE Necessity

THANK YOU for your continuous support, great to see old and new faces for the second session of our Annual Fengshui talk. Sorry that it went on longer than what I expected, we really had so much ground (literally so, sectors of our house and office) to cover...

You know I came prepared with my notes, to make sure I don't jump to conclusions, to make sure the points are clear, to make sure the suggestions on the remedies are well delivered. And over the days when I was sorting out the sequence, the keypoints, at every turn, at every balance of yin and yang, at every strategizing for the most efficient solution, I came to the same conclusion: agarwood.

If there were to be one most important thing to remember from our second session, to take home and to really get it done, it will be the Lotus agarwood.

We talked about how disastrous the impact of the crisis would be in 2017 (丁酉), because of the partners in crime -- the flying stars Five-Yellow 五黄 and Two-Black 二黑. We talked about how you can defend and minimize the damage with the bronze annual fengshui solutions, and the raw pu'er tea hulu. But in light of the fear and havoc -- you see, I don't really do this, I don't do the fear tactic, it has always been our philosophy and practice to find the golden opportunity in even the darkest cloud -- defense is really not enough.

For 2017, we need our Lotus agarwood to absorb the imminent negative energies and disasters, and to convert them into goodness and opportunities.

In one of my general expositions on agarwood, I spent some length expounding on this specific agarwood power. A bit long, but worth the read:
If you place one piece of authentic and aged agarwood in a second-hand fridge, or a closed compartment in which there is a strong pungent smell, eventually, the fridge or the closed compartment will smell only of the fragrance of the agarwood.

The agarwood has absorbed the pungency and released its own fragrance.

The border of the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127AD, China) was infringed by the Khitan forces (Liao Dynasty). One of the most famous battles that advanced the Khitan forces was to do with this particular Heavenly Gate Formation (天门阵 tianmen zhen) deployed by the Liao empire. When a Song soldier enters this formation, he loses his sensibilities, or commonly this would be regarded as jinxed or cursed, and he starts attacking his comrades, mistaking them for enemies.

From the perspective of Feng Shui, this Heavenly Gate Formation activated the illness and disaster stars, causing people who are in it to go haywire and meet with disastrous mishaps.

The solution was to equip every single soldier with a piece of Dragon-taming wood (降龙木 xianglong mu) – the name given to agarwood by the tribe guarding this sacred and precious wood. The powers of it intense and strong, even if there were evils as strong as the dragon, they would be tamed. With a piece of agarwood, the Heavenly Gate Formation was broken.

Imagine this: we would not be able to Feng Shui every place you go to, hence the importance of having your personal agarwood piece so that you can wear it to wherever you are.

This particular strength of agarwood has to do with its formation. Agarwood comes from agarwood trees – a form of heartwood belonging to the Aquilaria species. This rare and endangered species is only present in less than 7% of the forests in the world. And in the forests that agarwood trees are present, only 7% of the trees are agarwood trees.

Agarwood is not the fruit or seed of agarwood trees; it is the healed and crystalized scab.

In the wild forests, when an agarwood tree is injured – lightning, brushed by animals etc., fungus infection takes place on the wound. When the virus and fungus attack the agarwood tree, the tree secretes its inner healing resin for combat and healing. The resin counters the virus and eventually crystalizes with the fungus and surrounding energies to form the scab, healing the wound. The fungus is negated of its bad energies, and come together to form part of the healing power. The scab is agarwood, and only this part of the agarwood trees will turn darker and give off the fragrance of agarwood.

Not all agarwood trees would produce agarwood. The chances of the wood being injured in the various above-mentioned methods, then infection by the virus and fungus – the possibility of agarwood trees producing agarwood is yet another 7%.

Imagine this: there are 100 trees in a forest. Only 7 of them are agarwood trees, and 7% of these 7 trees have the chance to produce agarwood.

This is where agarwood from Lotus on Water are from, the wild forests – these 7% of 7 out of 100 trees. Many realize the power and value of agarwood now, and attempt to produce agarwood in quantities through artificial forestry – inject the tree with virus and force the agarwood trees to secrete resin before its time. Without sufficient time to absorb the energies of heaven and earth, it is difficult for agarwood to have adequate Feng Shui powers to prosper a person.

With the scab, the agarwood tree is healed. Hence it is also considered the scented-wood of rejuvenation and rebirth.

The legend of phoenix is similar across many cultures. When a phoenix matures, at its peak, the phoenix builds itself a nest of agarwood, and burns itself to ashes. In the ashes of agarwood, a new phoenix is born. This symbolizes the rejuvenation and rebirth power of agarwood. When we meet with negative energies, bad experiences, wrong vibrations, they are converted; and sometimes in our darker hours, the agarwood serve as the agent of rebirth, bringing us out of the valley into the light.

Emperor Qian Long is one of the most prosperous and longest-reigned emperors of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912AD, China). He was so blessed that he travelled numerous times out of the imperial palace to the southern lands of China for visits and relaxation – not as the emperor, but dressed like a civilian. During his travels, whenever he left the imperial palace, he brought along 2 items: 1. A piece of white jade pendant that bears his symbol, in the case that he needs to reveal who he is; 2. agarwood essence. He believed that the scent kept him safe. And in the case that he loses his consciousness for any reason, his followers were told to let Qian Long bit on the agarwood so that “he would be brought back to life.” The fortunate thing is, Qian Long with all these earthly treasures around him, never had to chance to verify the rebirth power of the agarwood. He was safe in all his adventures outside the imperial palace.
And what's more for 2017, is that the set of annual wealth stars (Eight-White 八白 and Nine-Purple 九紫) fall into wood-based palaces -- you would know what I mean if you were here for the second session, not going to expand here. In short, it means the 2017 annual wealth luck can be better lured and invoked by wood-based earthly treasures.

When you have your scented-wood collections (agarwood and sandalwood) in the respective sectors that we talked about, the annual wealth energy comes to you faster and more intensely. When you are wearing your agarwood and sandalwood Lotus collections, you draw the annual wealth energy coming from these sectors to you.

Which would mean that your Lotus agarwood is really multi-tasking in various crucial arenas for you in 2017: it absorbs the disastrous obstacles, and converts them into wealth opportunities by invoking the wood-based annual wealth luck.

This is 一白遮三丑 (one white covers three ugliness) -- when you enhance one area of auspiciousness, three sectors of bad energies are suppressed.

In the previous episodes, we shared a prized collection: the Purple Qinan with Golden Threads 紫气金丝奇. Exploding resin lines, strong and empowering fragrance...2 pieces, one dragon, the other is phoenix. This is the crown jewel. It would be of great fortune to own a piece of this Purple Qinan for a game-changing 2017.

Of course, other Lotus agarwood selections are viable as well. Many blessed clients have already seized their earth-agarwood pendants, near-sinking and full-sinking agarwood series, and enjoying the prosperity from wearing them. To have yourself a piece of Lotus agarwood for 2017 is definitely better than to hold out for nothing!

And if you are already enjoying the power of your Lotus agarwood, congratulations, you made the excellent choice. I have a recommendation for you: up your game, up the power of your agarwood by complimenting it with a Lotus sandalwood --
The foundation of Feng Shui is yin-yang (plus and minus, light and darkness). Our aim is to achieve a balance of yin-yang for you (personal luck aspect), and where you stay and work (spatial Feng Shui aspect) at every level, as much as possible. Agarwood and sandalwood – the king and the queen – form a part of this yin-yang equation. Together, they form a circle; separate, they have their own purposes in enhancing specific areas of your luck.
We certainly need all the boost we can get for 2017.

Huat on.
