Inspirations from the First Lotus Guan Yin

Perhaps it's the blessing of this unique lockdown season, that we are connected once again with the first Lotus Guan Yin.

The first Lotus Guan Yin is carved from fine green and lavender jadeite, is placed in Master Yun's house even till today, and is the one that blessed Master Yun from nothing to everything.

Since Master Yun is working from home in this period, new Lotus collections purchased are blessed in Master Yun's house, in the presence of the first Lotus Guan Yin. Such unique blessings! Probably this is the brilliant period to up your fengshui, have your next Lotus collection for your future and fortune.

As we reconnect with the first Lotus Guan Yin, I do think that there are several inspirations and lessons we can learn from Her, especially during this period.

"This Guan Yin does not hold a lotus in full bloom, but a lotus in bud (which is not typical). Like a bud that blooms into flower that has yet flourished, it has brought grace and glory that were beyond what our eyes could see. It is a bud of faith."

This is the season to have great faith, to achieve what we cannot see, to plant the seeds of prosperity for our future and fortune.

"We have heard stories from the 'Journey to the West' of how Guan Yin descends from the sky to bring blessings and assistance to people. I have never seen her literary coming down from heaven and I wonder how many people have seen that."

Sometimes, we might be expecting blessing to come in the exact way we imagined, to be delivered right into our hands. But blessings might come in opportunities, rejections, or even a Facebook post. Some clients bump into our Facebook posts, and decided to get started with their first Lotus jadeite. We need to extend our hands to receive these blessings.

"But her blessings always come in an inspiration. It comes with a voice, asking for actions of faith, sometimes a leap of faith."

When was the last time you look your leap of faith?

"It was exactly on the tenth day after I said my prayer to this Guan Yin.

The rest that happened after that was like flowers blooming in spring. It was floods of miracles and blessings unstoppable."

You might feel stuck now. But floods are miracles and blessings are coming. And we must be prepared to capture them.

"Likewise, this Guan Yin comes to me holding a stalk of lotus bud when I had almost nothing. And she gave me an inspiration, and I accepted the bud of faith. Lotus on Water was born."

Plant your seed of prosperity today. As our worlds slow down in this lockdown period, it is the great opportunity for us to finally focus on the important matters.
Your future is important. Your fortune is important. Your luck is important. This can be your month of reflection and moving forward.

"The lavender Guan Yin stayed in my house till this day and has continued to answer to many prayers."

May this first Lotus Guan Yin also answers to your prayers.

7 Reasons To Buy Your Next Lotus Collection Now

It's a most unique period of our times, but life must go on. Your prosperity must go on. In fact, this might just be the brilliant season to do up your fengshui. Here are SEVEN 7 reasons why:

1. Be PREPARE, before the sun rises again!

Look, this too shall pass. And by then, aplenty opportunities shall flood the market. Businesses and hiring shall take place again. As if like a renaissance. And you want to be prepared before that happens.

You want to be the one to capture these refreshed opportunities.

2. Blessing at Master Yun's house

Usually, Master Yun blesses your purchased Lotus collections in the Lotus gallery. In this unique "Work From Home" period, Master Yun is blessing in his house, at Marina Bay Residences. Surely, Master Yun has set up the fengshui solid good. It is also where Master Yun stores some of the rare and raw agarwood (which we shared during the talk recently!).

I suppose that's why Master Yun paints mainly at his house, for the great energy to sink into his fengshui paintings. And now, into your Lotus collections. And, imagine, with the skyline of Singapore in the backdrop...

3. Surrounded by Master Yun's paintings

So Master Yun paints at his house. The table that he uses for blessing, is also the one where paintings-in-progress lay or set out to dry. Basically, your Lotus collection is engulfed in the HUAT qi of creativity, of gold and silver, and the breath of new life.

4. Master Yun has been focused on painting and meditating

Since the lockdowns around the world, Master Yun has been grounded in Singapore, and has been focusing on meditating and painting (read more about it here: https://bit.ly/3bjhnW9).

One can say, the power is very concentrated.

5. First Lotus Guan Yin

Do you know what else is in Master Yun's house? The first Lotus Guan Yin, the one carved of green and lavender jadeite, the one that blessed Master Yun from nothing to everything...She is overseeing this blessing.

6. Delivery to YOU, to YOUR Door

Social distancing doesn't have to be prosperity-distancing. In this unique period, your HUAT Lotus collection will be delivered to you, to your door. Safe, and HUAT.

7. The season to do the IMPORTANT

In more normal days, we are often firefighting, distracted by day to day urgent affairs. In this period, when our worlds have slowed down, might be the great opportunity for us to finally focus on the important matters.

Your future is important. Your fortune is important. Your luck is important. This can be your month of reflection and moving forward.

Stay safe, stay HUAT.

Lotus on Water Has A NEW Gallery -- ONLINE!

You might have noticed, we are moving more and more of our operations online, daily. From making appointments for calls, to uploading collections onto our "Facebook Shop" (https://bit.ly/2y6Bp7r).

All these years, we have tried to ease the pace of going online, doing it gradually...me and the team would discuss, and always have some lingering unresolvable reservations. But this unique period exacerbated the whole progress. So we say: let's just try.

One of the reservations, is the price.

For you who know the standards of Master Yun and have experienced Lotus on Water, the price point is not an issue; you know and appreciate the value. In fact, I did overhear, sometimes, "wa, this thing is very cheap", or "wa, this is an excellent price for something like this". I know 😁

As much as Lotus on Water has endeavored for the past decade and more, to establish standards (and honor) in the fengshui and fengshui solutions market, they are still many people who feel that fengshui is random and jade should be as cheap as those sold on Taobao (fake also nevermind!).

And the sad thing is, these people are Chinese.

And this is their culture too.

This reveals a persistent key issue: a lot of Chinese still see their own culture no up.

Just by skimming on the internet, they feel that spending S$10k on a luxury watch is worth it, but S$10k on a piece of jade is a scam. Now, hopefully, some of these people would eventually become Lotus clients. Hopefully, they would spend some time to read the many articles we have researched on and written, and understand their own heritage better.

A path less (none!) taken, the Lotus has never buckled under pressure of mediocrity and compromise on our standards. And I think there is a higher meaning to this.

When you toss a piece of gold to an animal, the animal might sniff it, lick it, then walk away. The animal cares not about gold despite its value; the only value that the animal is concerned about: is it edible?

Humans appreciate gold. And this is one thing that sets us apart from animals: the pursuit of grandeur, the pursuit of beauty, the pursuit of otherworldliness.

When we uplift an art to its most valuable and refined form, it becomes a pinnacle of a culture, worthy of representing its people for eons to come. Just like how when we think of the French, ballet and red wine (and for some maybe LV!) come to mind.

This COVID-19 thing, I am certain we will thrive beyond this. While we are going through this unique period together, we must really uphold our humanity.

Lotus on Water has many, many beloved clients, followers and friends, whom I deeply appreciate. In fact, heartwarmingly, the Lotus has bloomed these years from a lot of referrals, clients sharing Lotus on Water selflessly to the ones they care about.

If you do appreciate the spirit of Lotus on Water as I do, take a moment to "tour" the online gallery (https://bit.ly/2y6Bp7r). Shall you see something appropriate for someone you know, do forward the link over, and let's see how the seed of prosperity germinates from there!

Stay safe, stay HUAT.

Master Yun: Celebrate Even In Our Darkest Moments

Are you feeling, trapped in darkness now?

You are not alone.

And yes, we should strive to find light in darkness.

Light in darkness, that's a feature of Master Yun's fengshui painting.

First revealed to the world during April 2017's exhibition at ION Orchard, I remembered, when the lights went off, everyone went WOW.

In darkness, we see the peacocks and peonies transform into stars and milky ways. If you were surrounded by Master Yun's paintings, you might feel as if you are in space. And the universe is within your grasp.

But this is more than just technique; there is an idea behind the strokes.

It's part of Celebrationism.

In fact, if you can understand this feature, it will deepen your comprehension of Celebrationism.

Yes, it's about seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

And more.

There can't be light without darkness. And there can't be darkness without light.

The sun shines, so there are shadows. Night falls, and the stars are beautiful.

They are not relative; they are relational.

Master Yun wrote some time back: "Celebration is akin to the day, while dreams are akin to the night. Day and night, while not visible together, are inseparable from each other. Celebration fuels our dreams and our dreams give reasons to our celebrations." (https://bit.ly/2y2Otuv)

Perhaps there is something we can achieve in this darkness.

Perhaps it might push us to try new things, new ways, and that might just lead to a new universe.

Perhaps it is the period when we spend more time meditating (which...might be a form of dreaming?), connect better with our Lotus collections, and the universe beyond...

Master Yun even went on: "Dreaming isn’t just exclusive to darkness, and we ought to be able to celebrate even in our darkest moments."

Wake up again with a smile. Start planting seeds of great fortune, especially in darkness.

What's Master Yun doing during "Circuit Breaker"?

What's Master Yun doing during this period?

Painting.

For Master Yun, painting is his meditation. And he imbues his prayers and blessings into the paintings.

I suppose that's why some collectors and art critics say they can feel the energy from Master Yun's fengshui art.

I think we all need that extra ounce of positivity daily. Especially now. Master Yun's paintings and calligraphy have evolved over the years, but the underlying idea/philosophy has been constant.

When Dr Woon Wee Lee 云惟利教授 asked if Master Yun would name a school of art for his paintings, what would he call it? Master Yun said: Celebrationism.

Master Yun describes: "The unifying quality of my art is that it celebrates all things worth celebrating, from health to wealth, and from relationships to prosperity. I focus on the positive energies and elements that I can draw on such as love, joy, peace and hope, all of which are subject matters that my art symbolizes. To that end, may I be so bold as to coin the term Celebrationism as a movement that I would like my art to be celebrated upon." (https://bit.ly/2XqCbGO)

There might be some who lament back then: oh, that's not serious art; that's pretty pandering and commercialized...

Then now we truly realize, happiness is a serious topic. Prosperity and longevity are serious topics.

And uplifting topics too.

That extra stroke of huatness, that extra stroke of hope and happiness, might just get you past the days and weeks. Might just open up your perspective and soul to the universe. Might just draw that much needed opportunity to you.

Stay safe, stay HUAT.

How about a HUAT package for this HBL period?

BRACE YOURSELF -- HBL begins.

Home-Based Learning. When your kids spend a month with you when schools close. For a month. Who doesn't love another acronym?

I propose to you a HBL package. Who doesn't love a good package/starter-pack, especially in such unique times?

Something for you, something for your kid, something for your house.

--- ---

Here's the Lotus jadeite for your kid: the Lotus jadeite bamboo

A classic choice for students (and those looking for jobs or a better career) since the founding of the gallery. For good grades, for promotion, for progression.

Of course, your kid has to wear the Lotus jadeite bamboo of the auspicious elements/colors.

--- ---

Here's the Lotus jadeite for YOU: the Lotus jadeite Qilin 麒麟

For parents, especially mothers. They say, Confucius 孔子's mother dreamt of a Qilin before becoming pregnant with Confucius, who turned out to be the greatest sage in Chinese history, ever.

When you are with the jadeite Qilin pendant of your favorable element/color, you attract more benefactors, your luck shall influence your kids too, bringing them literati and progress.

May you have scholarly children.

--- ---

Here's what to have for your home's fengshui: Duanxi Clear Waters Black Inkstone 端溪静水砚台

Now, first, having the black inkstone at the specific spot, boosts literati and good studies, which is important. It's not just any black inkstone. It has to be Duan inkstone 端砚. I have written about this several times. Duan inkstone is the top category of inkstones, recognized since Song dynasty 宋代. Many people who are selling inkstones have no idea what they are talking about, they might be saying "Duan inkstone 端砚", but they have no idea of what's "Duan 端" or "inkstone 砚".

ALSO, it smoothens conflicts. Which in this period, when everyone is stuck at home, is VERY IMPORTANT.

--- ---

Here's what else to have for your home's fengshui, or for yourself: Lotus sandalwood beads/pendant 檀香念珠/牌

Sandalwood activates the literati star (studying, good grades, promotion...). Be it pendant or beads, you can either hang it at the spot we advise, or you wear it. The scent from your Lotus sandalwood shall influence your children, who in this period of HBL, should be right beside you...

BTW, did I mention, sandalwood also prospers your indirect wealth.

--- ---

Have that extra boost this unique season. Get that extra edge, for yourself and your children.
