Who Is Ready for Period 9 aka 九运？

I was texting with a few friends whom I got to know at different stage of my life casually today and coincidentally, they asked the same question - "Do you travel often with Lotus On Water ｜ 云龙子旺财馆 ?"

I thought it was because I posted about the upcoming Beijing trip in October to attend Master Yun Art's art exhibition at Great Wall of China. However, they got the impression due to the March trip I had in Penang. 

I flip through all the videos and photos I have taken during the trip and I still feel super grateful that it must have been the decision of someone up there for Hogan Yeo and I to travel to Penang the same period as Master Yun so that I get to have heartfelt memories and learnings that will last a lifetime.

As a customer of Lotus and a keen learner to be a better human, I get to witness a few things:

1. As Mr Kan has been sharing about the must-have items for Period 9, I see them in Master Yun's house in Penang. So, if Master Yun is having them even in his house that he is not staying in 365 days, it only make sense for us to get them before Period 9.

2. With Asia TV doing an interview during one of the days, I saw how Master Yun could speak so eloquently without a script, sharing his stories and views that made everyone on the spot rethink and reflect. He is a celebrity in the world of Fengshui, but definitely one who doesn't give any airs and is polite as well as friendly to all crew members. Check out the interview here.

3. Chinese traditional cultural values are hard to come by nowadays because they are almost impossible to attain but I see that they are still alive in Master Yun during the times when we were all together - harmony, benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom, honesty, loyalty, and filial piety.

The trip is precious to me because I get to observe and learn up-close through another side of Master Yun which I do not see as a customer. And there are still so much more for me to learn. But perhaps, we can start learning the basics from the foundation and values of Lotus On Water.

Mr Yeo Who Does Not Believe In Fengshui and Extremely Thrifty (II)

 And true enough, Lotus on Water Gallery was truly magical! 

The vibe that Mr Yeo and I got the moment we stepped in after meeting his ex-classmate was stunning! The place was just so full of positive energy and somewhat mysterious and grand with the chosen interior design, colors, furniture and even the carpets (I could tell they are very expensive but maybe, I could not guess the prices correctly). It was also the first time in our lives that we saw items over couple of thousands and even millions - and these were not branded bags or cars or private properties!

So, we had the opportunity to meet up with Mr Kan, the Executive Director of Lotus on Water Gallery, for our consultation. Despite being a relatively young man, he exuded such confidence and charm through the way he carried himself and his knowledge - you will agree with me when you get to meet him in person. It was until much later that we knew he was the top student in Peking University (one of the elite C9 League of Chinese universities) and had been under direct guidance from Master Yun since a young age.

It took only minutes for Mr Kan to analyze our individual chart and shared with us about some of our past life experiences which he accurately pointed out before going into brief details of what's next for Mr Yeo and me.

Apparently, these 2 years were not good ones for me but good ones for Mr Yeo. The best solution for us was of course to buy at least a jadeite pendant each - for me to cushion the impact and for him to grab the opportunities coming his way.

Mr Kan showed us some jadeite pendants in our favorable elements (yes, Mr Yeo and I are totally different. I would think we are fated to be together to complement each other, haha) and they were just so beautiful. They were nothing like the jade pendants I saw before... it's like I started to wonder what kind and grade of jade and jadeite the market and some other galleries had been selling. Mr Yeo and I had no prior knowledge about such gems but the standard of these items at Lotus didn't need an expert to see through its quality and value!

Given Mr Kan's knowledge and the pool of customers they already had along their 15 years of service, we were definitely not the richest and it would really not do them any good if they were to just sell these jadeite to us without helping us to improve the aspects of our lives that we wanted. To be honest, they were not lack of customers and they did not need us to survive.

We did not buy on the spot that day (because I made my promise and Mr Yeo being Mr Yeo, he needed time to make decision). 

Remember how I shared in the previous article that Mr Yeo = does not believe in fengshui and extremely thrifty? 

We both knew Mr Yeo was looking for a breakthrough and he was not that young anymore (35 years old last year). Everything was pretty smooth sailing for us as a couple after getting officially married in 2018 but something was missing. Mr Kan mentioned some stuff about Mr Yeo's past and they were all spot-on. 

Based on the analysis of our bazi and the next 2 years, it would only make sense for Mr Yeo to go ahead and get his pendant first to seize all opportunities available. BUT this meant that he would need to pay over S$10k for his piece of jadeite which he could also use to buy a Rolex watch. Eventually, Mr Yeo went to read up all about Lotus on Water on Facebook and this blog, together with everything he could find out about jadeite online that night. 

He was still a bit unsure the next day if he should go ahead. The last push he needed would be from me and so, I supported him in going for it. I know that as a wife, I may not be perfect but I can be the perfect one who encourage him and push him to achieve something more and something that he deserves. Mr Yeo is not born rich but I know very well how much potential he has as a human to achieve dreams bigger than what he ever imagine. Sometimes, having faith propels you so much forward towards your success.

In the end, he went down to make the payment the next day.

That monetary output that day has given us so much more than we can ever expect from the purchase and I buy mine approximately 6 months after him. I will share Mr Yeo's story after wearing the pendant in the next article and if you are reading this right now, I am sure you are looking for something and please do not hesitate anymore.

The consultation is available on all days except Wednesdays (their off days). If you do not wish to purchase anything, they will not force you to do so. They have customers from all walks of life (the invisible millionaires, businessmen to drivers and cashiers) and they never judge the customers. Mr Yeo Who Does Not Believe In Fengshui and Extremely Thrifty (I)

 In one of my earlier articles, I promise that I will write another story / testimonial on my husband who visited Lotus On Water Gallery with me in March 2020.

Let's call him Mr Yeo (He loves the vibe at Lotus so much now that you will usually see him there 2 - 3 times a week. And you should go down to feel the vibe yourself). Remember Mr Yeo = does not believe in fengshui and extremely thrifty. 

In fact, prior to moving into our first matrimonial house, I had heated argument with him on engaging a fengshui master. To me, it was all about setting things right so that at least I would be at peace internally, knowing that I had done what I could from the beginning as a wife to let him have a smooth sailing life after living together. However, at that point of time, I did not do enough research and randomly picked some master I read on those renovation forums as the price was "right". My decision was not met with encouragement by Mr Yeo because he felt that it was ridiculous to leave the design of our house to someone else who would not be staying in. 

Anyway, I went ahead to engage the master (Mr Yeo gave in in the end to make me happy) and on the day of key collection, the master spent hours in our house before he told us about where to place certain furniture etc. I already had all the designs in my head and my own drawings but all had to be changed because we would apparently be heading towards not-so-good future if we were to insist on what we wanted. We were told to buy a mini jade mountain to place somewhere to stabilize the qi in the house. It cost us $900 and we parted with the money unwillingly. We had a lot of questions for the master but when we wanted to find out more, he would just tell us, "Do you want to prosper? If you want, just follow." So, that was the 1st encounter Mr Yeo had with me as a couple on fengshui.

Now back to Mr Yeo in March 2020. One day, I was browsing through his Facebook on his mobile and saw Lotus on Water Gallery appeared on his newsfeed. I was puzzled - why would someone like him even follow this page when he was not into Fengshui etc? The funny thing was, he looked shocked when I asked him because he totally forgot he had even liked the page. Taking his mobile from me, he saw the post that I was looking at and went, "Eh! That was my primary school classmate!" He immediately pm this primary school classmate of his and shared with me that this place was very famous and when he used to take the public transport and passed by the galleries, he would always wonder what kind of treasures and magic this place had inside. 

Thinking that I am a mountain tortoise from the west, he arranged with his primary school friend to bring me down to experience with him. He warned me that I MUST NOT BUY anything there because the stuff there were very expensive and he knew I have great taste (just like how I chose him over other men). Being the good wife, I promised him that and wondered to myself how magical this Lotus on Water Gallery could be?

Why Are You Here? - Part I

"Why are you here?"

I remembered that this was the first question from Mr Kan, Executive Director of Lotus on Water, to me when I first visited them in March. It was a very simple question, yet I was dumbfounded. I wasn't sure if it was due to Mr Kan's eyes or his tonality but it just hit me hard.

To be honest, I had no answer to it then because it came across to me as "What changes would you like to see in your life? What are you not happy or satisfied in your life? What do you really want in your life?". And this little voice inside me had been haunting me with the exact same question for a long time, if a decade or two was long enough to you.

I wasn't unhappy about my life at all. My aged parents were doing fine, so were my siblings. I was always complimented for good reasons, I held a pretty decent job and I stayed with my husband and my 2 dogs. Everything was ok, just fine. I did go through the ups and downs in my life and yes, I could continue to live the same life I had been having - going through the motions of life. 

However, when I dug deeper into my inner thoughts after I got home, I was there for something. I wasn't unhappy about my life BUT deep inside me, I felt I should have achieved more. I wasn't so happy about myself and I was definitely not contented with myself, rather than what the outside world. I was not "balanced" all this while, yet I chose to ignore that little voice in me because I did not know what to do and how to do about my life. Something was missing. Maybe some form of drive? Determination? I did not know.

Amazingly, I found my answer at Lotus.

“Tricked” to Leap of Faith

My hubby “tricked” one evening in Jul 2018, suppose to bring me for dinner and we ended up in Lotus On Water. 

 

4 grand galleries and I was wondering what kind of food they serve. When I walked in, it is all Jadeite, not food! Hmm…I met Mr. Kan, young & intelligent looking man, and I was wondering is he aged enough to be an expert Feng Shui master? He went through the Feng Shui for my family. I was shown the Ammonite Jadeite and honestly the price caught me by surprise. 

 

Fast forward, I took the Leap of Faith with Lotus On Water and started my 1^st Ammonite Jadeite…. and there was no return….2^nd item  was the Crystal Mountain, 山管人丁,水管財, …3^rd item was my Cabochon ring…4^th item was DuanXi White Ink Stone…

 

Why so many items within 3 years? After my 1^st Jadeite, somehow obstacles disappeared… with the Crystal Mountain placed, overall family relationship enhanced. With the Cabochon ring and the placement of White Ink Stone, 一白遮三丑, @ favorable direction, risk was turned into opportunities. 

 

My family members meditate on the White Ink Stone. We treat it as a wishing well and wishes came true indeed! 

 

We are a firmed believer of Feng Shui as 一命，二运，三风水. 

We were on the hunt for a reputable fengshui master then in 2018 and we found Lotus On Water. 

 

I must thank my hubby for “tricking” me that lead me to Mr. Kan, an industry expert indeed. More importantly, everyone in the family benefited from the Feng Shui from Lotus On Water.

云大师：我的宠物

我的宠物。左边叫“天一”，背后的翅膀是天蓝色的，让我想起“天一生水，地六合之”。右边叫“彩桔”，身上五颜六色，最明显是腹部有桔子般的橘色。

是特别种，还会说话，让人抚触，逗人开心。我放在馆门口，让它们与客户玩。

上一段时间，有个路人经过，说我是“动物虐待”。我问他，认为要怎么样做，才不算是“动物虐待”？他想了想说，把拴它们的锁剪短了，放他在天空与林中飞翔。我听了，笑了笑说：“好不好，我们在它们身上装个窃听器与追踪器，然后才放开它们。”

“如果他们在森林里被其它动物吃掉，在天空飞翔时被雷电击中，饥渴交迫而饿死。那么除了你把我买这两只宠物的钱赔我，你得让我把你的照片放在网上，容许我称你为‘可爱宠物的刽子手’干不干？”

他不干。

我们的宠物有动物的身体，却由人类养大。是怀着“人类文明”的动物。放它们回森林，回天空，就像把我们放回石洞里，必死无疑。

“天一”与“彩桔”是飞向辽阔的天空与灿烂的阳光比较快乐了？还是把辽阔的天空与灿烂的阳光带进人们的心灵里比较快乐，比较有价值？

今早看着我的宠物，想起我们馆的同事。有些同事特别杰出。有人在旁边：“外面的世界多辽阔灿烂呀。为什么关在一个馆里头？不到外面乘风破浪？”

外面的世界的确辽阔灿烂。可是奋斗的风险与代价也必须事先准备好。同样的：天空是辽阔的，阳光是灿烂的。可是我们人最快乐，最有价值，是飞向了辽阔与灿烂，还是将辽阔与灿烂带进人心？

人小的时候喜欢当飞行员，更喜欢当太空人。因为，地以上是辽阔的天空，天空以外是更广阔的宇宙。

可是到今天为止，我们人类历史上记载最伟大的人，我们周边最快乐的人，是那些飞行员与太空人吗？

还是⋯那些把辽阔带进别人的视野中，把宇宙的繁星带进人们的的睡梦中，把人心点燃，让灵魂与理想都跳跃与飞翔…的人？

Water your Lotus seeds of Greatness with Believe

During World War II, the Germans introduced an unbreakable code to transmit messages coded by the famous Enigma machine which ranged from gossips to military instructions on ship attacks.  As I watched the scene from The Imitation Game, I saw Alan Turing, a computer scientist trying to crack the Enigma code.  He was different from the rest of the team who used traditional cryptographic techniques which were unsuccessful when the Germans changed codes at midnight.

One day, while his commanding officer was trying to shut him down, his colleagues stepped in for him saying “Trust me when I tell you there is no one who would rather say this less than I do, but… he’s right.  Alan is right.”  They believed in Alan based on the logic that their current methods were unsuccessful and Alan is the last chance that could possibly break the code and win the war.  After a brief stroke of genius, Alan altered the programming slightly and did manage to break the code.

Alan had yet to crack the Enigma code, and his colleagues believed in him.  This led him to believe in himself that he could crack the code.   Believing in people before they have proven themselves is the key to motivating people to reach their full potential.  This goes for your Lotus treasures too.

We stepped into the Lotus Gallery ourselves, selected our own Lotus treasures, host them with our efforts and resources.  We should believe that they have the ability to improve our lives for the better.  When we have yet to receive, we develop faith and belief in the Lotus treasures with our abilities and attitude that we will eventually receive.  When we have received, we feel gratitude for the Lotus treasures and for our actions that led to our harvests.  After we received, we look forward to a higher step helped by our Lotus treasures and our onward-looking attitude for growth.
