6 years later, his
company was in sort of a crisis.
Sales in 2018 dropped
and was reported to be barely reaching one third of what it used to be. A list
was released, they were to retrench 30 of their staff, which was 40% of all the
people he used to see and meet every day. He was informed by the management he
needed to break the news to his staff.
Granted, his name wasn’t
on the chopping board, but anyone with a little bit of compassion knows the
ripple effect of such a straightforward task. Imagine this, a sole breadwinner
losing his job could easily affect a family of 4 or more, a man in his middle
age could have a tough time finding another job and getting his life back on
track, a person who wasn’t mentally strong enough for a blow like this could
fall into a depression and never recover.
A straightforward task
that has no consequences on him, felt like a thousand ton on his shoulders.
He cannot just allow this to happen without doing something or even putting up a fight.
It’s as if his
thoughts were heard, he received a call from Lotus on Water. It wasn’t anything
out of the ordinary, sales calls like this were normal, but it felt like a call
to his next action.
He felt like his luck
needed a little boost, even when it’s not directly for himself. So, he bought
himself a ring, and an exquisite jadeite pendant from Lotus on Water. No, he
didn’t stop here.
Mr Moh took the leap in late 2018 and purchased
something that was still new in the market- A peacock painting that was
personally painted by Master Yun.
Luck is not
linear; luck is not guaranteed. But when luck is what you need, you leap up high and hold your breath
when it reaches its peak and starts to descend, you hold on to your faith that
it will land just where you wish it would be.
In 2019, after
countless try and attempts to bring in new business, he not just closed 2 deals
that bring his sales to where it usually is, the 2019 sales ended up double of
what their usual sales should be. And that all happened in the first half of
the 2019, months after hanging Master Yun painting in his apartment.
Instead of bringing the depressing news to 30, with his new deals, he negotiated down to 5.
Life isn't perfect, but we celebrate every win. How?
