Gear Up for Your Prosperity in 2016

I joined the Lotus in April 2015 and was VERY fortunate to be able to be involved in the 9th anniversary celebration. It was a day I will never forget, a sense of unity and excitement from the moment I reach the gallery. 

For those who missed the 9th anniversary celebration on 28 June 2015. Here's the good news: the next upcoming event is on 22 December 2015 — The Winter Solstice Mass Blessing Celebration. 

You know what to do: bring back your personal Lotus collections about a week plus in advance and have it reblessed on this HUATASTIC celebration – it’s unbelievable huat!

Truly Auspicious

The sad thing about Chinese using Chinese (language) is that we tend to be too free-and-easy with our words. Till today, many random shiny stones are still called "jade 玉" -- do you know marble is called 汉白玉 (white Han jade)? Or a polished yellow stone is called 黄玉 (yellow jade??)?

Scientifically, there are only two kinds of jade -- jadeite and nephrite. When Master Yun started Lotus on Water, he put his foot down -- to the ridicule of many jade and jewelry dealers -- to only offer the real, authentic jade for fengshui remedies. And not just jade by the scientific definition, but the king of jade -- jadeite. And not just "A" grade jadeite which is only a passing mark, but at least score 91 jadeite that has gone through no less than 7 rounds of testing. 

That's the composition of the Heaven and Earth jadeite ring -- the top heavenly cabochon, source of power, is jadeite, and the bottom earth ring is at least nephrite

Sometimes, the easiest and most direct path is the most successful path. All the time, in fact. Yes, it takes courage and determination. And Master Yun has done it.

So in a way we are fortunate that people are more conscious about the type and quality of jade they are getting. Because someone stood for what's right.

Of course, old habits die hard. Lotus on Water has 2 well-defined categories of jadeite: auspicious collections, and exquisite collections. There are written and tangible criteria to determine which jadeite belongs to which family. Sadly, the spineless and gutless simply copy the Lotus nomenclature but threw away the essence in the words. Like how "jade" is being misused, "auspicious" and "exquisite" are thrown around by childish guerrillas -- like wet clumps of tissue thrown onto the wall, let's see what sticks.

The Lotus is proud of the exquisite collections in our VIP gallery. And for those of you who know me well, you know my favorite piece: this Dragon Returns to the Sea.

Once, a beloved client of mine bought a beautiful white exquisite jadeite Guan Yin from the Lotus VIP gallery -- over 300 thousand SGD. We crowned the Guan Yin pendant with a dragon and phoenix, 9 diamonds. After wearing her Lotus exquisite jadeite for a while, she couldn't resist and asked: how is mine compared to the Dragon Returns to the Sea (966k SGD)?

I said: Both are bungalows. Yours is definitely a bungalow. The Dragon Returns to the Sea, the Good Class Bungalow.

She looked at me and said: seems like the only thing left to own is this.

The Lotus jadeite collections -- the beautiful Rings and pendants for your real, solid prosperity -- have gone through at least 7 rounds of testing, for inner cracks, for appropriate levels of polishing wax, for well-defining color...etc (we will be talking about this in length, hopefully really soon). The Lotus Seeds are jadeite that didn't make it through the rounds. They are real "A" grade jadeite nonetheless, but they don't make the mark to be Lotus jadeite.

Awakening of a stronger self

Previously before getting to know the Lotus, I wasn’t ready to work hard. Constantly brainwashing myself that we should be contented in life and that is what which will bring happiness. Does this sounds familiar to you?

I joined Lotus on Water in April. And that was right after the passing of the Singapore's founding father Mr Lee Kuan Yew which had a huge influence on me because of that entire week of recollections of his achievement. As part of the younger generation i wasn't well researched about him until it was all recalled and televised. In just that one week of footages on television, I know more about him than the entire 25 years of my life. It was truly inspiring and touching, it made me question my belief which I held in the past, a non believer of hard work and accepting whatever which comes my way. Looking at how much hard work Mr Lee Kuan Yew has put in to build Singapore into what it is today, the message was clear. 

It’s a good preparation for me, my mentality, before becoming part of the Lotus. If it was not for this wake up call, my journey with the Lotus would be quite different, in a not so good way. Having new colleagues now, Rao and Veyini and looking at them made me recall of the times when I first started out working in Lotus on Water. Looking back at the past 6 months, I am very thankful to Master Yun, Mr Kan and all my colleagues for the trainings and the faith they have shown me. 

Despite me now being able to speak to clients independently, there is still a long way to go and the realisation I have gotten from the videos of Mr Lee Kuan Yew gives me the strength and persistence to push myself to learn. Getting to know the followers on the Lotus also help in my mentality. If I remembered correctly, Pook was the first one I spoke to and his sharing about his experience with the Lotus gave me an insight about what is it all about.

And also knowing the principle deep down in my heart that success loves preparation, how much you are willing to put in will decide how successful you are.

如何面对“你好吗？”

上周，云龙子大师提出了一个耐人深省的问题：你要支配文字还是受文字支配？我举个例子：大家见面常说的第一句话便是“你好吗？”一般人都谁回答：“最近很好”、“最近很忙”或“最近还好（okay）”。

我比较喜欢以“充实”取代一般的“很忙”，毕竟我忙的不是琐事，而是很多有意义的事。你是否曾经停下脚步问问自己，你说“最近很好”的时候，是真的感觉好，还是例行公事把这句话挂在嘴边？你认真要自己的生活还好（okay）或普通吗？

谈起这个便让我想起云大师还提到了另一件事。他问：你是想拥有一份薪水？还是想拥有比现在更高的薪水？在生活中，我们可以有许多更好的事物、选择、惊喜。我们也可以有更多更精彩的事件让我们以不同的词汇形容——超级棒、很完美、非常梦幻等。

Maybe you didn't know, what you focus on determines what you will have

Just like what the title says, indeed what you focus on determines what you will have.
Many of us apply this in our work, in our goal setting, in our lives but forget to apply it in our fengshui.

I had a great privilege to converse with the man behind Lotus on Water, the master of our time. And her asked me an intriguing question that being a follower i felt ashamed not being able to answer: Do you know the main difference between my fengshui and other people's?

I guiltily shook my head.

He said: Many fengshui practitioners out there will tend to focus on defending the client against poison arrows such as sickness, malfactors, leakage of wealth etc . But at Lotus on Water we focus on the building the positive so it becomes so strong that when poison arrows come, they have little or no effect on us.

Truth is everyday and everywhere there are poison arrows, there is no way of completely blocking them out. And if everyday we are thinking of these arrows then wouldn't it be so these poison arrows even when it is powerless would become powerful?

So, What are you focusing on? Building the positive like Lotus on Water or evading and blocking poison arrows?

上星期，云龙子大师介绍了有助于我们更接近造物者或神的一个“问先行后法” 。

我把云大师的“问先行后法”总结为：提问与行动（2As: Ask and Actions）。

首先，我们应该问自己或旁人什么问题(Questions)、怎么问问题又为什么要问这些问题？

第二，我们的行动(Actions)是否让我们迈向提问(Questions)所得出的答案？

受到云大师的启发，我对自己提出了更多问题。

其中一个从未想到问题：

我干嘛要等别人推出一个完美的制度并依循这个制度？

那么多年来，我都在等别人推出一个完美的制度让我依循。

但是世界上没有完美的制度，每个制度都有其限制，我应该依据自己的需要而调整现有制度。

另外，同样的制度以不同的方式使用也会带来不同的效果。所以云龙子旺财馆会为每一位顾客挑选一件适合他们的旺财宝贝。

我就想我干嘛要等待别人推出一个完美的制度，我自己完全有能力设计一个符合我需求和需要的制度。
