17 September 2019, Master Yun's fengshui paintings were exhibited at Capella Singapore, invited by Michelin Star.

SEVEN specially curated fengshui paintings were exhibited, representing Master Yun's scale, style and impact.

尊敬的长官、尊敬的老师、尊敬的老前辈，尊敬的新朋友与好朋友。
Respectable Excellencies, Respectable Teachers, Respectable Elders, dear friends new and old,

非常荣幸，我今天能上这在中国四大文化老字号之一，成都的"诗婢家"，与大家一起看着古色、闻着古香、诉着诗情，赏着画意。

I am very honored to be here in the beautiful city of Chengdu, in one of the four oldest cultural brand of China, "Shi Bi Jia", appreciating art and poetry with you.

 

我的个人画展在新加坡、曼谷、欧洲的荷兰展过。这个月尾在西班牙的巴塞罗那会展出。明年年尾在柬埔寨的吴哥窟里，应布拜德威长公主之邀，展览个人画展。就是未曾有机会在美丽雄伟祖国中国大陆展出，实为汗颜。
My personal art exhibition has traveled from Singapore to Bangkok, and The Netherlands. End of this month, I shall have it in Barcelona. And next year, with the invitation of Her Royal Highness Princess Buppha Devi, to exhibit my art at one of the greatest wonder of the world, Angkor Wat of Cambodia.
It’s ashamed that I have not exhibited in China yet.

不过，我很高兴，最近与中国，及中国人特别有缘分。 

But I am very happy because, my affinity with China and Chinese is very strong recently. 

 

今年中国建国七十年。中国中央电视台评选海內外七十个炎黄子孙，作为《华人楷模》的代表。告诉世界："中华有人"！

This year is the 70th anniversary of the establishment of People Republic of China. The China CCTV has chosen seventy Chinese to be representatives of "Chinese Pioneers", to show the world that "Chinese has great people". 

非常荣幸，几天前的中央电视台《华人楷模》的拍摄小组，飞到新加坡，到云龙子旺财館及我家，对我进行了两天的采访。主题是：像我这样的海外华侨，如何肩负艺术文化的使命，建立艺术与文化的丝绸之路，与世界交流结合，配合祖国的一带一路。

A great honor, China CCTV filming team has flown to Singapore a few days ago to visit me in Lotus on Water Galleries and in my house. The theme is to show how Chinese like me, bearing artistic and cultural mission, is building the silk route of art and culture, to establish connections with the rest of the world.

 

拍摄组知道我结业论文研究的是唐诗，便让我用一首唐诗，来写照我与我们华侨的艺术使命。

They asked me to use a poem to reflect the souls and spirits of overseas Chinese like myself.

我就用王翰的绝句，家喻户晓的《凉洲词》，给予自己的诠释。

I quoted the four verses of "Lyrics at Liang Zhou". A poem written in Tang Dynasty. Adding in my own interpretations.

第一句："葡萄美酒夜光杯。"
葡萄酒不是中土生产的东西。离开中土，才能见到。中土以外的酒香美色，多令人羡慕呀！ 

"Fine wine grapes, in a luminous glass,"
Wine of grapes is not something found in the homeland of China. And the beauty of it is to be so envied.

第二句："欲饮琵琶马上催。"

这一句提醒了我们，能尝到这种家土以外的美，多少是带着无奈的情况。不是形势所逼，谁愿离乡背井。 

“One wants to drinking make merry, but the pipa piper on a rushing horse is hurrying us onwards.”

Most of the time, we move on not out of free will, but out of the situation of the time. Just like how and why our ancestors have left their hometowns in China to different parts of the world. 

最后两句："醉卧沙场君莫笑，古来征战几人回。"

"If we are drunk, crouching on the battlefield, do not laugh;

since old times, how many men return from war?"
 

到了东南亚，我们祖辈们的心愿是落叶归根。谈何容易？别说那一代，我们这一代也难以落叶归根。

The dreams of our ancestors were to return to the motherland like leaves falling back to the roots in autumn. Would that be easy? No of course. Not in their generation, nor in our generation. 

不过，在肉身虽然不能落叶归根，在文化与艺术里面，我们却能夠落叶归根。

But while our bodies are not able to return to the roots like the fallen leaves, our spirit can. Our spirit can return to the vast ocean of art and culture, of which we all do have a common memory to share with. 

有首词："落红不是无情物，化作春泥更护花！"

Another popular verse says, 

"The falling of the red petals is not a depart of love,

It is to be transformed into the soil of spring to nourish more flowers." 

许多人把新加坡这个美丽的岛国形容成"小红点"。不！我们是化作春泥的落红。

A lot of people describe Singapore as a "little red dot". No! We are the red petal that is transforming into the nourishing spring soil.

 

这片落红上多数的艺术家，都是"新加坡教师美术協会"的教师们培养出来的。我也是其中一位。我的中学美术老师便坐在那里。 

And on this piece of red petal are many artists, most of them are taught and groomed by the teachers in "Singapore Teachers Art Society". I am one of them. And my art teacher since I was thirteen years old, is sitting right there. 

我很高兴，今天新加坡的艺术家及艺术家的老师们与中国的艺术家们齐聚一堂，一起爱护、保护，维护这朵艺术之花。

I am very happy because the Singaporean artists and Singaporean art teachers and sitting in the same hall with the Chinese artists, nourishing the flowers of arts and culture together.

 

我们共同护有的艺术之花，昨日含苞待放，今天灿烂开花。

May this flower of arts and culture, having taken a long time waiting in buds, shall bloom in full glory today.

Master Yun Selected As "Chinese Pioneer" By China CCTV -- Featuring Mr Eric Raisina

[云大师获选为“华人楷模”。9月初，中国中央卫视电台前来新加坡拍摄，采访大师、他的朋友们、他的生意伙伴，以及他的客人们。

Master Yun has been selected as "Chinese Pioneer" by China CCTV. Early September, CCTV came to Singapore to film Master Yun, his friends, his business partners, his clients.]

This might be the most INTERNATIONAL episode that China CCTV has even filmed.

Other than His Royal Highness Prince Sisowath Tesso, Mr Eric Raisina -- ALL THE WAY from Madagascar and Cambodia -- also came from the CCTV interview, and gave his opinion on Master Yun .

Eric is always so positive, so energetic, so creative. 

China CCTV not only filmed Master Yun 云龙子大师's paintings, but also specially requested to film Master Yun's unique and powerful ways of painting.

One of such ways, is Master Yun's color-splashing. This time round, it's special, Master Yun splashed colors with champagne on Mr Eric Raisina's silk texture.

China CCTV asks: what is your impression of Master Yun?

Eric: at first I thought he would be very traditional, you know, like a "fengshui master". So I thought we might not click, cause my designs are very...daring.

Then when I finally met with Master Yun, surely, he has a very deep understanding of cultures, traditions and art. He loves the silk texture I specialize my fashion on.

But Master Yun is also very open to other cultures. He always listen with curiosity about how I blend French, Chinese, Khmer, Madagascar styles and strokes.

In fact, Master Yun is very daring with his fashion sense. He can be even more daring than the French. Like this golden jacket. Master Yun customized it. 

I find a close and magical connection between my silk fashion, and Master Yun's art.

And that definitely makes our upcoming project at CHIJMES, significant

China CCTV interviews Mr Marcel Bertaud, director of Laurent-Perrier for Asia, about Master Yun as "华人楷模 Chinese Pioneer".

CCTV asks: Why did you introduce Master Yun to Laurent-Perrier champagne?   

Mr Marcel: when I first saw Master Yun's fengshui paintings, I was blown away. They are simply amazing. So beautiful. I know they might be Chinese paintings, but they speak to me. And you know, Laurent-Perrier has very rich and long history, 200 over years of French champagne. And they now work with Master Yun, an Asian artist, an international artist.

 

Of course, Mr Marcel is more than just the director of Laurent-Perrier. He is also a super long-time client of Lotus On Water, been with us even before the founding of the first gallery. And surely, he has prospered.

CCTV asks Mr Marcel and Mr Jiang Shan 姜山: What do you see in this fengshui painting by Master Yun?

 

Mr Marcel: this part, I see some Impressionism, like Vincent van Gogh. Feels like the Starry Night, the twirls.

Mr Jiang Shan: I see two dragons, coming together at the center.

China CCTV interviews Mr Marcel Bertaud, director of Laurent-Perrier for Asia, and Mr Jiang Shan, Founder of Happy Residences, about Master Yun as "华人楷模 Chinese Pioneer". A keen focus on Master Yun's fengshui art achievements, and how it bridges cultures.

 

Mr Marcel is from France. And Mr Jiang Shan from China. Both have known Master Yun for a long time. It was through the bridging of Master Yun, that both got to know each other.

The Tale of Two Lotus Rings

 
This blessed client told me: when he was getting his first Lotus Heaven and Earth jadeite ring some years back, he already saw this dark jadeite cabochon.

But as this amazing dark jadeite piece is of a much higher price, he could only choose another jadeite cabochon at a lower price to start with back then.

He chose a bright green jadeite cabochon, and set his first Heaven and Earth jadeite ring as 3rd generation, the Double Dragon:
 

 

Now, he is back. And he is able to afford this higher price dark jadeite cabochon, for his second Lotus Ring. 

He decided that it shall be set as 1st generation, classic and simple, the Meeting of Heaven and Earth:
 
 
He said: it is his first Lotus Heaven and Earth jadeite ring that prospered him to where he is today, and so he can buy his second, more expensive, more powerful Lotus Ring. 

And HUAT further. For himself, and his family.

正在整理《华人楷模》的照片，看到这张照片。

Whilst sorting out photos taken during the "Chinese Pioneer" interview, I found this photo.

我认识 Doreen 和 Fabian 是在一年前了，还记得那时候是他们寄了一份预约过来，我们便预约在馆里见面。

I met Doreen and Fabian more than a year ago. I still remember when they first sent their enquiry to us. We met in the gallery.

那时候的他们，工作情况都比较糟糕，要养家人，还要供妹妹读书，所以两个人都想要得到升迁的机会。

At that time, their situation was very tough. They needed to take care of their family and provide for her sister's studies, so both of them wanted to have a great chance to have promotions, badly.

他们便在初一的时候开始了自己的第一样旺财翡翠。

They started their first Lotus jadeite on the 1st of a lunar month. 

与云龙子旺财馆。

With Lotus on Water.

戴上翡翠牌后，他们也分享了好消息给我们。

After they wore their Lotus jadeite, they were very wiling to share their good news to us.

像是有了升迁的机会，我们真的替他们开心。

They got the promotions they wanted. And we are very happy for them. 

更开心的是，他们拥有了属于自己的新家! 也让我们帮他们看家里的风水。

And even more amazingly, they managed to purchase their OWN house! They brought their floorplan to us, and we worked on their house's fengshui.

之后，请了这一尊弥勒佛的水晶山摆放在家里。

They decided to place the Laughing Buddha crystal mountain into their home, at the mountain spot of their house.

认识了一年多，Fabian 一直是很有事业心、企图心、责任感很强、很体贴 Doreen 的一位好老公。

Knowing them for more than a year, Fabian has always been a great husband, focused on career, with great ambitions and responsibility, and, a loving husband.

从哪一个举动能够看得出呢？

How do I know?

当他换了另一间公司，得到更好的薪酬后。决定为Doreen选上了一串倒架108沉香手珠，旺她的正财运、贵人、健康和化险为夷。

His Royal Highness Prince Sisowath Tesso came to Singapore especially for China CCTV's filming of Master Yun as "华人楷模 Chinese Pioneer".

My humblest gratitude to you, dear Prince Tesso!

Here's what's interesting: Prince Tesso spoke in French.

Prince Tesso explained to me, French is an official language used in Cambodian Royal Court. And Prince Tesso is very fluent in French.

I don't understand French. But I caught keywords like "passion", "culture", "art", "sincere" etc., and I could FEEL Prince Tesso's answers.

I could interpret Prince Tesso sharing passionately that Master Yun is a connector of cultures, how Master Yun respects and supports Khmer culture, and how his fengshui art impresses so many people of different races and faiths, collected by His Majesty and Her Majesty Queen Mother too.

I found myself nodding in agreement to the melodious tune of Prince Tesso's French.

A very touching friendship: China CCTV not only interviewed His Royal Highness Prince Sisowath Tesso about Master Yun being a bastion and bridge of cultures and art, Prince Tesso also shared about his precious friendship with Master Yun.

At Master Yun's home, Prince Tesso showed us the intricate personals gifts from him, His Majesty, Her Majesty Queen Mother, Her Royal Highness Princess Norodom Buppha Devi, for Master Yun.

The royal gifts are refined, meaningful, and full of memories and sentimental value.

When two great men come together and do something more for their heritage, culture and art, a priceless friendship is formed.
