云龙子艺术国际研讨会 ~ 云龙子大师致辞




尊敬的王子殿下、尊敬的领导、尊敬的大使阁下、尊敬的学者、艺术家,早上好。

Your Royal Highness, Your Excellencies, academicians and artists, a very good morning. 

 


我首先感谢您的𦲷临,特别来自远方的朋友,为了我到中国北京,参加我的研讨会暨艺术展。

I would like to thank you, especially those of you who have to travel miles away, to this magnificent country, in her beautiful city of Beijing, to attend my symposium and art exhibition. 





云龙子国际研讨会暨艺术展,今天,202443日早上,在这里中国北京,全国人大会议中心,正式开幕。

Master Yun International Symposium cum Art Exhibition is officially launched this morning, the 3rd of April 2024. Here at the National People's Congress Conference Center, Beijing of the People’s Republic of China.


人大会议中心当然是个非常重要的地点。而我认为“人”与“大”这两个字很有意思。

The National People’s Congress Conference Center is definitely a very important venue, politically of course. But I also find its name very interesting. 

人民代表大会的简称是由两个字组成,那就是“人”“大”,人代表人民,大代表巨大。

The short form of the National People’s Congress is called Ren Da, which is coined by two characters, Ren and Da. Ren means human, and Da means big.

我今早在此展览了六十幅书法作品。每一幅都含有“大”这个字。

I have exhibited sixty art pieces of my calligraphy here today. And each piece contains the Chinese character Da (big).

 


而且我写的字是3,600多年前,商朝的甲骨文。

I have used the ancient font, which was created and used some 3,600 years ago, The turtle shell and bone oracle script.

 

中国文字基本上是象形的。越早的文字越显现出古老人们对大自然、对世界与人生的认知。

As we know, that Chinese characters are more pictographic than phonetic. The more ancient the Chinese word font is, the closer it is, derived from Chinese perception of the world. Many a times, visually, and sometimes, philosophically and metaphysically. 

 

甲骨文的“大”,画的是个人,双脚微张,两手松松摊开。

The turtle shell and bone oracle script of the word “Da”, looks like a human being, with his legs and hands easily stretching apart.

 

有许多学者觉得此字的重点以双手的宽度表达具体事物的“大”。但我不大认同。

Some academicians believe that the shape of this character expresses the physical width of the open hands, which implies the word “big”. But I would beg to differ.

 

如果,真要以双手的张度代表具体扩度,那两手应该平直张开(而非松松摊开)。怎么说,在甲骨上刻出直线是比刻出弯线容易的。

If the shape of this character is truly to signify the physical size, the two hands of this human figure should be straightly horizontal. After all, on turtle shells and bone, it would be easier to carve a straight line, instead of two curve lines slightly downward.

 

我认为“大”字的重点不在于双手,而在于头。一个没画出眼睛、头发、鼻子,甚至连轮廓也没画出来的头。

I believe the emphasis of the character “Da” (big) is not on the hands, but on the head of this human figure. A head without eyes, without hair, without nose, without even the profile.

 

因为真正的“大”是摸不着、看不到、难以丈量的。真正的“大”只能依赖想像。

Because, that which is truly “big” cannot be touched, cannot be seen, cannot be even physically measured. That which is truly big, can only be imagined.

 

“大”钱,是手指数不了的; “大”方向没有精准的度数; “大”智慧无法精确的评估; “大”梦想没有具体的形象; “大”世界是眼界以外的; “大”胸怀是色盲的; “大”目标没有数据。

“Big” money is money that cannot be counted with our fingers. “Big” direction has no definite degree. “Big” wisdom cannot be mathematically evaluated. “Big” dreams have got no vivid images. “Big” world is beyond our vision. “Big” heart is color blind. “Big” goals are immeasurable.


我喜欢“大”。

I love “big”. 


我尝试,并努力地尝试,通过艺术,表达这种“大”。

And I try, endeavor I must say, to express “big” with my art and its expression.

 我作画的材料有来自东方,也来自西方。我作画的笔和纸来自中国,墨来自日本。黄色的藤黄是柬埔寨王子从王宫送来的,花青与胭脂则出自神洲。黄金当然出土于非洲,青金石来自中东,而孔雀石来自俄罗斯。当然。还有我书画的第一层是法国的罗兰百悦香槟。他是我的赞助。也是我的朋友。

The media of my art come from the east and from the west. The paper and the pens which I wrote and draw on come from China, while the ink is from Japan. The yellow color is Garcinia from His Royal Highness Prince of Cambodia, while the rouge and cyan are from this land. The gold on my art is excavated in Africa. The lapis lazuli is from the Middle East and malachite comes from Russia. Not to forget, the first layer of my calligraphy is splashed by the French Laurent-Perrier champagne, my sponsor and my friend.

我也想起了中国的三大外销产品:丝绸、茶叶与瓷器。它们全都是文化产品。

It reminded me of three greatest global products of China: the silk, the tea leaves and the porcelain. They are all cultural products.


 中国瓷器上的蓝,来自中东。对等的图案也是伊斯兰教的图案。有些外销瓷上的人物,是连绘制师父从来都没见过的。

The blue of the Chinese porcelain comes from the Middle East. And the pattern is inspired by the Muslims. Some porcelain pieces which were sold to overseas are painted with figures that the Chinese craftsmen have never seen. 


中国茶能风靡西方国家的极大理由是因为它添加了牛乳与糖。如同洋人喝巧克力与咖啡的力式。许多东南亚人还喜欢在茶里加上冰块。

The Chinese tea would not have swept through the land of the western world had it not been mixed with sugar and milk, the way the Westerners took their chocolate and coffee. And many Southeast Asians like to add ice cubes to their tea.


中国丝绸驰名全球,也有赖罗马帝国的恺撒穿上了它:法国太阳王路易十四爱上了它。

And Chinese silk was so famous because the Roman Julius Caesar wore it and the French Sun King Louis the Fourteenth adored it.

 

最伟“大”的中国文化产品,也是商业产品,之因为如此,能驰骋万里,是它包容性有多“大”。

The greatest Chinese cultural products, also commercial products, are so “big”, not just because of how far they have travelled, but also how much they have included. 

 

在美学上,我努力地在我的艺术作品展现出中囯书法的美学品味,如飞白与墨韵阴阳;也运用了西画中光、影与色彩的效果。在作画的第一层,我还用了法国香槟来泼彩。

Aesthetically, I have endeavored, to express the Chinese sense of beauty as well as the western appreciation of colors and light. And I have even added the drinks that the westerners primed, the French champagne, to splash color on the first layer of my art.


请容许我说,比起我作品的独特性,我更自豪于我艺术的包容性。

If you allow me, I pride myself of my art, not so much of how exclusive my art is, but how inclusive it has been.

 

我今天十分高兴,我的研讨会中有您,来自全球各个地区的精英。大家或许肤色相异,血流的脉搏却相同。我们的相聚是您“大”胸怀的具体展现。

Today, I am very happy to have my symposium attended by you, who have come from different continents of this world, who, albeit different colors of skin, have a similar palpitation of our blood. Our gatherings, is also, an expression of your “big” heart.
