This is the power of the Lotus exquisite jadeite

I love Stephen Chow's movies (周星驰). Go watch The God of Cookery 食神. In the final battle, Stephen Chow was forced to cook Char Siew rice. The judge tasted his masterpiece, and exclaimed as such according to my splendid translation: God! This simple Char Siew rice is heavenly! How am I going to eat Char Siew rice anywhere else after this?

Lotus on Water Exquisite Jadeite Gallery is established for VIPs of Lotus on Water. Only clients who have spent over 18,000SGD are considered VIPs.
Recently, I have been spending a lot of time talking to friends and clients about the exquisite collections in Lotus on Water Exquisite Jadeite Gallery. We used to have 268 pieces of proud and wonderful exquisite jadeite - this was during my last blog post some time back, I hope we still have at least 200 pieces of exquisite jadeite left for your selection now. There is nothing in common with our exquisite collections with Stephen Chow's Char Siew rice other than one characteristic: once you lay your eyes on the collections of Lotus on Water Exquisite Jadeite Gallery, you won't even flinch an eyebrow when you see jadeite elsewhere.

Because I dare say Lotus on Water Exquisite Jadeite Gallery houses some of the best jadeite collections in the whole world. Only the natural - by an extremely high standard, only the first-hand, only the best. Nothing but the best, then we can expect the best.

This 850kg raw jadeite boulder is the largest in Singapore, and is recorded in the Singapore Book of Records. That said, I wonder whether other jade stores have anything that can hold a candle to this. This is a mark of the excellence of Lotus on Water.
In the Exquisite Jadeite Gallery, you will not miss the biggest raw jadeite boulder in Singapore - 850kg. This raw boulder is what that remains. The other parts are all sliced, deciphered and carefully carved into the Lotus collections. This is a mark of the Lotus standard. We rather go through the tedious and dangerous process of harvesting the raw jadeite then to risk the future of our clients by dealing with middleman and middleman. Who can assure you that a random piece of jade is not dug out from someone's grave, or worn by someone who had serious illness before?

Majority of the raw jadeite will be carved as our entry level auspicious jadeite - a same motif that will come in all the colors of the five elements. And when we come across a part that is astonishingly good in quality, intensely awesome in colors, we will turn it into our exquisite collections. Out of every 300 pieces of Lotus auspicious jadeite, there is 1 piece of Lotus exquisite jadeite.

And there are some special collections that will pull this proportion further apart. The imperial jadeite. I quote from a previous post:

It is very rare for jade shops and jewelery shops to sell imperial jade. It is not only expensive, it is also rare and most sought after. Thus the price of imperial jade escalate faster than any other kind of jade. Thus it is often more profitable to keep than to sell them away. It is the highest standard jade can achieve.

Only the Empress Dowager can wear the imperial jadeite, in the past. Most jade stores won't have the privilege of owning a piece, and if they do, that particular one piece will be kept in the private safe, only accessible after you have meandered your way pass the B-grade, C-grade and other jade-wannabes.

Lotus on Water Exquisite Jadeite Gallery houses imperial jadeite. In December 2013, 5 pieces of marvelous imperial jadeite were sold to blessed clients. One of the blessed client after wearing his newly owned imperial jadeite, has not only prospered, but prospered to such an unimaginable extent that he got the next piece of imperial jadeite just three weeks later. He now owns 2 pieces of imperial jadeite, 3 Heaven and Earth jadeite rings, and 2 powerful Qinan.

This is the power of the Lotus exquisite jadeite.

Why No Feng Shui Convention This Year?

Recently I have lots of people, seriously like lots of people coming to my gallery, just to ask: is there any feng shui convention this year? Why is there no feng shui convention this year?

I cared very little to explain to most of them. However some are very sincere, and so I explain the decision we have after long consideration.

We have clients who went to the convention to listen to methods to help enhance different kinds of luck they want. Somewhen in the year, some of them came to ask: I followed everything your Master Yun told me. Why is it the luck I wanted is not happening? I checked through the records and found he bought nothing. So I asked him: how can you say you follow everything while you bought nothing? So he confessed he bought the feng shui items somewhere else.

The simple logic goes like this...you just cannot see a doctor and expect to get well without taking medication. You also cannot expect to get well taking a fake or inferior medication.

So I suggested to Master Yun not to give any feng shui convention this year so as not to give the idea that it is seeing the doctor and not taking the right medication that cures them.

We would only reveal the heavenly secrets to deserving and sincere clients.

And for the deserving and sincere clients, here are the collections for your prosperity this year:

I Beg Your Pardon for So Stating the Obvious

Master Yun sometimes doesn’t state the obvious. First, to try to avoid being rude by implying the counterpart as having an inferior intelligence. Second, Master Yun thought it is obvious enough.

As a feng shui master, Master Yun has taken a personal oath to speak “only” the truth. That is to say, whatever he says must only be true and not false. Thank goodness he did not take an oath to always speak the truth. Meaning, he may choose to keep quiet and not speak the truth even if he knew it.

But to balance between tactlessly truthful and irresponsibly oblivious, he normally “shows” the obvious instead of “stating” the obvious.

But so it seems, for quite a number of people, having things staring right in front of them is still impossible for them to see. So I have to state a few obvious cases for him and I beg your pardon for my rudeness.

The Obvious Case 1:

A PR company recently recommended Master Yun to see a few business owners. These few business owners opened a gallery cum auction house in town selling arts, antiques and jade – or so they claimed.

This PR company has done Master Yun favors in the past and recently, and Master Yun feels it is not right not to oblige her. And this PR company is in his short list of names which he has been impressed. So he agreed.

We received these few business owners in our “Lotus On Water Exquisite Jadeite Gallery”. They walked through the gallery and met Master Yun on the mezzanine floor.

Master Yun asked them for their purpose of visit, the favors he might be able to offer and the ones they wish to receive.

After much fumbling and mumbling, they say they come from China and might be able to co-operate with us since China is full of resources. In other words, they wish to sell us jade made in China.

Master Yun asked who amongst them is the specialist in jade. Then, Master Yun asked the supposedly specialist in jade: “What did you see when you pass through the hall?”

He mumbled and fumbled – again – a few lines, which is close to nothing meaningful.

If he had truly been a specialist in jade, he should be able to see, a piece of raw jade of gigantic size and of enormous weight (850KG) standing proudly, next to the path he walked on.

This piece of raw jade is the biggest raw jade displayed in Singapore and it is recorded in the Singapore Book of Records – not only so, one cannot find such a big raw jade in other big Chinese city like Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Many have “claimed” that they are our jade suppliers. In order to show the obvious, Master Yun placed an obviously big piece of raw jade in my gallery.

It is just like saying if you claimed to be the tailor who made my garments then you must have in your home or store, a big piece of cloth that was used to make my garments.

If that piece of cloth is not in your home or store, but in mine, then you cannot be the one tailoring my garments.

The big piece of jade is the obvious that Master Yun is showing instead of stating. However, the truth displayed in elegance seem to be a truth ungraspable to the stubborn and shameless.

Till this day, Master Yun still have people claiming blatantly to be our jade suppliers because they are from China or Myanmar.

With Singapore, a population of only 5 million, how many people have shook the hand of Mr Lee Kwan Yew, a truly national treasure although we have lived in the same country for decades?

One had even told Master Yun that his maid from Myanmar could bring in jade from her country. If that is so, why should she be your maid?

Isn’t this obvious ?

Obvious Case 2

Some people claim that feng shui is only about choosing a house or shop with the right direction and comfortable environment.

They even claimed that the feng shui items you place within the premise, especially quality, do not matter.

To “show” the truth instead of “stating” it, Lotus on Water only occupies four units of shops instead of the full eight units in the same row. If only the direction counts for feng shui effect, then the whole row of shops should be as vibrant as us. But the truth shows that it is not the case.

In fact, Lotus on Water did not collect the four units all at one go. We collected them one by one over the years. Most of the time, they are shops abandoned by previous owners who cannot make it. We took over & rectified them with the feng shui items we sell.

The half of the street of Lotus on Water is a stately testimony that the type of feng shui items you place within a premise does matter.

Come, stand in front of my galleries of Lotus on Water and watch. It is pretty glaring and obvious.

Isn’t it?

Obvious Case 3

Master Yun has a cousin who asked him to choose a good feng shui home for him. After Master Yun did the feng shui for his house, this cousin in order to help his friend not to “waste” money coming to our galleries to buy feng shui items, helped his friend to choose a house that has exactly the same direction as his.

A couple of years later, he came to ask Master Yun why his friend isn’t doing well. To prevent being rude by stating the obvious, Master Yun pretended that he did not hear and walked away.

Of course the quality of the feng shui items, the size, the shape, the carving, the owner who sells you, the red vermillion used for blessing, the energy of the person who did the blessing – they all matter.

Is it not obvious enough?

Obvious Case 4

Most people know that Master Yun learned feng shui from his grandfather. After he passed away, Master Yun took over. Master Yun did a revolution. He refused to use any cheap substitutes. Clients who prefer cheap substitutes and cheap outcome may see other masters.

For me and our clients, Master Yun’s conviction that is based on authentic philosophy and proven history, must be followed.

Master Yun’s grandfather used to give a little bit of tips here and there to Master Yun’s aunt for her to strike lottery. As for Master Yun, in order not to encourage gambling, refused to give any.

Master Yun’s aunt came to work for Master Yun and earned her jade pendant and the Heaven and Earth ring. After she wore them, she has striken at least twice, jackpots in the casino.

I suppose some people still prefer nostalgia to logical results. Master Yun’s aunt is one of them.

One day he asked her: “When grandpa was alive, how much money did you win with his good advice?” It was a few thousands dollars each time. He then asked her: “Then how about me? How much money had you won because you wore the rings I sold?” It was two digits more. Master Yun is not implying that his feng shui skill is more superior to his grandfather’s. However, Master Yun is definitely much more stringent than his grandfather when it comes to the remedies of personal luck and feng shui. And the results are miles apart.

It is Master Yun’s principle of “nothing except the best” that set him apart from the rest.

I sometimes think that God has done a great favor to those who are supposedly close to Master Yun, to put him so near to them. However, to balance out the favoritism, God has blurred their eyes so much that the obvious is not visible to them.

Faq 5. What is Imperial Jade?

There are in all 4 imperial green jadeite dragons in Lotus on Water. 2 are worn by Master Yun himself. The third imperial dragon was sold to a blessed client last week. This is the 4th and last piece of imperial dragon.

In order to be called the "Imperial Jade", five criteria must be fulfilled.

First, it must be green.

Then, it must be evenly green.

However, as evenness in colour is actually quite impossible to achieve if it is not artificially coloured, the term "even" can be understood as "full". It must be fully green.
Third, it must be transparent. We call it glass quality.

Forth, it must be strong in color.

Fifth, it must be bright in color.

Imperial jade is the kind of jade that the famous empress dowager would wear.

Master Yun Long Zi, the founder of Lotus on Water, would wear 2 pieces of imperial jade pendent underneath his shirt on casual occasion. It signifies yin and yang.

He would wear 3 pieces of imperial jade on formal occasion. The additional one would be a Heaven and Earth, Double Dragon Fiery Jade on his finger. It attracts energy from heaven, earth and human.

On ceremonious occasion, when he needs to perform his duty of bringing blessing to others, he would wear four pieces of imperial jade. It draws power from four different directions.

As the number of clients increases, and the number of auspicious creation for him to bless is multiplying exponentially, he is considering adding another imperial jade to make up to five for the ceremonious occasion. It is pulling energy from four direction and centralizing them in the center like a whirlpool.

Faq 4. Who is empress dowager Ci Xi?

Empress Ci Xi was the most powerful woman in Qing Dynasty. Started out as a concubine, she climbed herself up to be the empress. After the emperor passed away, she became Empress dowager to many subsequent emperors. The reason she could do so is: 1) she lived much longer than the emperors she raised; 2) she was more powerful than the emperors and she could win more support from other officials.

Logically, it is very abnormal because Qing Dynasty was a very conservative dynasty where the position of men is much lifted up while the position of women is much suppressed. The law at that time forbade women to be involved with political decision.

Empress dowager Ci Xi, however, got a lot of support from the officials, especially the most powerful ones. She was higher than the laws and more powerful than emperors.

Guess? Yes! Her favorite gemstone is green jadiete. It is because of her that the transparent, deep green jadeite is called the imperial jade.

Lotus on Water has 4 imperial green jadeite dragons till now. 2 are worn by Master Yun himself. The third imperial dragon was sold to a blessed client last week. This is the 4th and last piece of imperial dragon.

Another thing to mention. Though she lived till very ripe old age, her skin was very smooth and her complexion very fair. It is recorded that there seemed to be an attractive glow on her face.

Jadeite energy is said to be able to penetrate through the skin, goes deep into the body and inner organs, restore them to health and then shine through the skin and complexion.

Faq 3. What is Mutton Fat Jade? (re: Chapter 1.2)

Scientifically, only two types of stone is jade -- the nephrite and the jadeite. In comparison, nephrite is softer than jadeite and thus, it is called "soft jade" while jadeite is called "hard jade".

Soft jade is the stone of the gentleman, according to the classics -- warm, moisturized, translucent, and shine with luster. The most valuable colour for soft jade is white. The best white jade comes from Xin Jiang. It needs a cultured mind and scholarly eyes to tell which of the white jade is most superior.

The best kind of white jade, according to classics, is like a piece of white mutton fat. It is milky white, which is warming to the heart, and it's surface has a layer of watery and waxy gloss like a piece of fat.

Reminding them of the emperor Qian Long, the cultured Chinese gentleman loved to carry a piece of white jade and fonder with it all day.

Mutton Fat white jade is very rare and difficult to find. Most jade shop cannot afford to own one, also because it is only appreciated by the very discerning few.

You can find Mutton Fat White Jade in Lotus on Water Exquisite Jadeite Gallery.

2. Also, how do we take good care of our agarwood or sandalwood beads or pendants?

There are many "schools" of fengshui nowadays. And I always advise potential clients of Lotus on Water to be discerning, using our knowledge and logic. We can start with this premise: while it can be difficult to comprehensively define "fengshui", one way would be to say that this is the art to balance and have both yin (minus, female, moon...) and yang (plus, male, sun...).

This is why we need to wear both jadeite and scented wood (agarwood and sandalwood), and why jadeite and scented wood - long story, can be a thesis, blog next time on this.

Wear your exquisite jadeite and agarwood together. You have both the yin and yang, both wealth and happiness.

Previously, we talked about how to take care of our jadeite. That's the yin. Now, the yang - how do we take care of our sandalwood and agarwood collections.

Similar to your jadeite, you wear your agarwood and sandalwood constantly. Let it be in contact with your skin, bodily oil, sweat. It will communicate with your energy just like your jadeite. Check out my last post if you have no idea what I am talking about. Just one thing: try not to let your agarwood and sandalwood be in contact with other forms of water, especially running water.

So no wearing your agarwood and sandalwood under the rain (better keep them in your pocket), no to wearing them to showers.

The power of agarwood and sandalwood has to do with the oil or resin content. You might just wash away layers of power accumulated throughout ages under constant exposure to running water.

Your sweat and bodily oil, on the other hand, enhances the energy of the agarwood and sandalwood. So just wear it.

A few things happen after you wear your agarwood and sandalwood pendant for a while. It will first turn darker. Similar to jadeite getting clearer and more luminous, the power of agarwood and sandalwood multiplies as they get darker.

If you have sandalwood from us, you would realize that the scent varies. Sometimes, it is strong. Sometimes, it is weak. We call this breathing. And when it is strong, or you happen to see yours secrete oil like mine, good luck is here.
