What is the connection between Ms Moon and Mr Ang? Except that they were both my clients, and they were very rich, and they were both touched by the hands of faith and miracles.

Ms Moon is a big shareholder and a director of a listed company. And Mr Ang has a company which he wants to get listed.

Ms Moon is a temple goer. Mr Ang is one too. Ms Moon has done many charity and Mr Ang professed that he has done much charity as well.

Ms Moon, with her acute business sense, can see that our business at Lotus on Water was doing very well.

She was amazed that so many people come to us instead of going to others who sell things at very very cheap prize.

She made friends with my media friends, made friends with my staffs, especially our top sales.

And I noticed her company begin to follow us with whatever advertisement we do. For instance, she advertised on a double decker bus as well. But I noticed what she missed out in those advertisements. Mere copying will not make a good advertisement. Advertisement ought to be a angelic song that spreads the good hope, a light house that shines in darkness.

To have consistent in flow of new ideas, you need to activate your literati star. I always put a piece of Dark Earth Agarwood pendent at the corners that has the literati stars. They always give fresh and new ideas.

But since Ms Moon did not ask, I did not try telling her. Even if I tell her, she won't listen. Even if she listened, she won't believe. People only hear what they want to hear, and believe whatever they choose to.

On the right, the Lotus dark earth agarwood pendant. You can either wear it for your prosperity in direct wealth and benefactors, or as like what Master Yun did, placed it at advised corner for the respective fengshui benefits.

So I let people learn from their own experience. But not all people learn. Only some people. And a minority of them will.

Then she turned her attention to our top sales.

"Master, you are very lucky to have good sales people. Their sales talk is so good. No wonder you can sell so well."

"Yes. Very lucky I am indeed." What else could I say?

One day she told me: "Master, with the fame you have and the status you are at, you can say anything and people will listen, you can sell anything and people will buy."

I replied, "On the contrary, I believe it's because I restrain myself from saying and selling anything except those that are true and good, that's why I am where I am today."

She giggled and say: "How proud you are, Master. You should be more humble."

I smiled and said: "If pride is always to come with truth and humility with fake, I will choose pride anytime."

A few weeks later, she asked her driver to leave a packet of beads on my desk. And she left a message: "Master, I have some connections with the Vietnamese government. And I managed to get you some Agarwood beads for you to sell. You should know they are very precious."

Yes. Indeed Agarwood beads from Vietnam are rare and precious. If they are real. People find it too precious to make into beads. So very few Agarwood is made into beads.

I took out a few of them and they smelled and looked real. But just something quite strange I cannot tell. I left it on my desk for further examination and I went on with my busy schedule.

Within a few days time, my staff took one bracelet of beads and sold it to a client. He left the sold Agarwood beads bracelet and left it for me to bless before he come back a few days later to collect.

I got a shock. How can my sales staff be so fast? I have not even decided to sell it.

I held that bracelet of beads in my hand and I prayed to the Thousand Hands Guan Yin to show direction. I suddenly got an urge to force my nail into one of those beads and I tore a piece of waxy, jelly like layer out.

Oh I realized now. They have fixed a layer of real Agarwood skin onto fake wooden beads.

I asked my staff to call the client to come back. And if he was still interested in taking home a bracelet of Agarwood beads, I took one out my safe which cost three times the price he paid and let him take the real one home.

I quickly return the whole packet of Agarwood to Ms Moon and told her they are fake. She told me she didn't know. She said she just wanted to help.

It almost took our integrity and dignity away.

The Lotus galleries along Lotus on Water Street. The first gallery started in 2006. And we expanded, with true fengshui and the prosperity of our faithful clients. This is a testament to the Lotus standard.

From then onwards, I set a rule that all Lotus on Water products must be transacted in the hall of our gallery where our CCTV cameras are. And I will personally make sure that those products our clients took home are real and authentic.

She tried again a few times to sell me fake Agarwood, each time with a new story of what kind of connection she got, which country to have sent her those things. And each time I pointed out to her how I knew they are not real.

When I saw Mr Ang's fake Agarwood beads, they reminded me of Ms Moon.

After some time she gave up the idea of selling me things. She turned her attention to our media friends thinking that it was them that have brought my name up high.

I always had good relationship with the media people. There was one reporter whom we have been friends for ages. After befriending me, and gotten some advice from me, she even bought a second house and her investment grew more than double.

Ms Moon was very interested to befriend her. However, after they became friends, this friend of mine went astray. And we did not meet up for a long time.

One day I got a horror when I read the newspaper. It's a sensational photo. An old lady went to the press in wheelchair.

Her story is that she attended a concert we sponsored. We gave away a jade pendent in a lucky draw. Her ticket was picked up but her chance was denied because she did not complete the ticket. She went to complain to the press that she was bullied because she did not know she had to complete the forms.

A photo next to her show the facade of our gallery. People who saw the photo will know it's us but our gallery's name was not mentioned.

I asked my staff in charged of her lucky draw to show me proof but she said the tickets were all destroyed.

I looked at the staff deep into her eyes and her speech startled.

I knew this is a well schemed game. And this is only but a testing beginning. There will be more to come.

 

The deep waters old mountain sandalwood beads. The old mountain sandalwood beads of the Lotus are at least 80 years of age before harvest, another 20 years of fermentation. The deep waters category is even more aged than that.

If I waited till the real game begins, it will be all too late. So I quickly placed a piece of Agarwood at the benefactor star of the year, and the Deep Waters Sandalwood beads at the literati star. I need to think of a way out within a very short period of time.

I chanted with my 108 Agarwood beads till my heart is calm and my head is clear. The chant means "paying tribute to the treasure in Lotus" (means Guan Yin). When a person chant like this, his world and the Lotus World will merge into one. Guan Yin, who is the treasure of the Lotus is right in front to rectify all wrongs. Bad vibes will be cleared away by the cleansing water of her vase.

Suddenly an idea came to me.

The Lotus 108 sinking agarwood beads. The more you use them, the brighter and more fragrant they become.

So I called the media head and asked her to come see me.

I told her that Lotus on Water was not just a cash cow for me. It was my family heritage and it's is born out of my deep embedded conviction. If they are going to continue in the game, I am prepared to lay down my life like a martyr. I have lived enough and enjoyed much. If I will need to lay my life down so that the Lotus would live, then so let it be. But in my will I will declare all the names who schemed and conspired against me. Let them be investigated thoroughly while my innocent blood scream.

The blood of the innocent will cut through the land of the guilty. The voice of the martyr will never silent till the debt of every conspirator is paid.

And so the drama from the media stopped but just a while. They started again when I declared my retirement from service. They were trying again when my hearing began.

Many weeks later I heard Ms Moon and my ex media friends have invited a PR person for lunch. This time she was asking them to promote her nephew who wants to be a movie star.  The PR person they tried sweet talking to happens to be a friend of my friend. And thanks to my usual generous tipping, the waitress serving their lunch is a friend of the waiter who served me food. They are concerned for my well being and they passed the word to me.

So if you ask me if Mr Ang and Ms Moon is conspiring against me like she did with my ex media friends, I will leave it up to your imagination.

But Ms Moon does have strange friends. Many of her friends have similar beginnings, and similar ends.

The one who follows her closely is one who looks pretty and modern. Used to do pretty well with her own business but ended up broke, with shaky marriage. So she have no choice but to follow Ms Moon everywhere she fancies.

Another was a beautiful and elegant lady who was a mama san. In her course of work , she met a man who owned a listed company. The man divorced his wife and married her. The whole town was gossiping behind her for they are in the media industry.

But through her methods, clean or shrewd, she helped to grow the business big and strong. In no time, she bought a land to build a big and tall building. And she came to us for help.

When my media friends heard they came to ask for our help. They asked me why was I willing to do so taking into account of her grayish past?

I told them she must have paid enough merits in her past to gain present glorious wealth. I will not need to be the judge, let the universe be the one who judge. If she would abuse the grace of Heaven now on her bestowed, the Heaven may send Guan Yin to strike her to her original state, just like how you read about in the "Journey to the West."

With her skills and tricks she used, she was able to delay payment due to us. We who were new in business were no match to her business skills.

Prosperity may have washed her status from ungracious past but have not washed her hearts and hands from greed.

As the rest of Ms Moon friends, she was a temple goer too. But most of the monsters in the novel "Journey to the West" were temple goers as well. They listened to the chanting and preaching of Buddha and thus they gained their merit to possess beautiful human forms. Many of them with seductive figures and sweet smelling breath, able to chant the sutras and perform tiny little magic to lure other monsters and righteous men. But when they fell into the trap by trapping others' souls, they were all whipped back into their original forms.

She invited me to a charity held by a temple she went to, and asked me to be a co-donar. It did not take long for me to realise she laid her unclean hands on the donation.

The blessing vermilion of Lotus on Water is specially prepared. Using the finest vermilion, with the essence of premium and never-for-sale agarwood, sandalwood and ambergris essence, plus 24k gold. The preparation of the Lotus vermilion also uses the black inkstone mentioned in last week's episode.

Out of rage, I spoke to Guan Yin and reminded her it's time for her to act. I offered up the blood red vermillion, to her I prayed.

I offer to You now the blood red vermillion. The debt of karma and pain of retribution shall not be on me but on her who owes. The merit of prosperity has not brought her grace and only fearless greed.

In a very short time retribution came. Their share price was struck humbly down to knee. The husband somehow became gambling addict and lost his fortune on the dens.

They were forced to sell off all their shares and their names are no longer heard among the wealthy class. Last I heard of them was they were under investigation and may have lost their freedom.

Sometimes the rescue of Guan Yin is fast and swift. She gave you a ball and it turned into double dragon to devour the devil. She gave you a ring and you can harness the naughty monkey king. Such are the endings of Ms Moon's many friends.

But sometime the rescue is quite delayed, just like how Ms Moon is still around.

It is as if the hand of Guan Yin is beyond reach and the eyes of karma are blind to them.

No, they are here to lure the righteous man to test their faith and to gather the evil company of other monstrous beings. And maybe that's why people like Ms Moon was meant to stay. The time is delayed for her to disappear like her mama san friend.

But I can tell you I sometimes feel like a monk in the story of "Journey to the West." He was trapped by monsters waiting to cook him up and devour him. At times the rescue came so late that I thought the dawn of next sunlight will never come. I thought the journey would end here and not in the promised land. It may take another soul to heed to the calling of conviction to complete the whole journey.

I could feel that the monsters are heating up the stove and giggling in anticipation thinking that their plan will succeed soon.

Mr Ang was the tip of the ice berg. If I drop my sword and bow to him, there will be a whole gang waiting to devour us. The only way is to pray for the mighty spear of the Thousand Hands Guan Yin to fight for our side.

But I will never know that the power is on my side if I have never stepped forward. Moses never knew the Red Sea would open till he stuck his shepherd staff into the water.

And so I told Mr Kan. Let's take him on.

Before deciding a lawsuit against Mr Ang, I took some time to consider all the odds and alternatives.

First, it's about what if we lose. Because lawsuit is something like a war. You won't know if you will win until after the last minute.

Even if we win, we will have to spend a lot of time on it, which can be used for other more productive means.

Third, even if we win, what would people say. Many people might think we are unkind and aggressive in getting money. Although logic would tell that by spending the same amount of time on daily operation, we make more money. But most people don't use logic. They use their feelings or just follow what other people say blindly. And we cannot control what other people say.

Is there any other alternative? Maybe we should work harder to gain back the losses? It would be a "safer mean."

Maybe we should just negotiate some compromising terms with him so that we would not risk losing too much?

Maybe we should just put on a smile, shake his hand and say: "Come on, what's the point of being so hard on each other? We Chinese believe in harmony don't we? Surely we can iron all these out? Just tell me your terms, I will agree if I don't lose too much..."

For the sake of the survival of Lotus on Water, can I not just pull back a smile of hypocrisy? Bow down in humility and kneel down on a pool of tears of defeat?

The red vermillion grinded on the ‘White Duanxi Inkstone’ was only used by the Emperor. Nobody, not even the Prime Minister, can use ‘White Inkstone’ to grind the red vermillion. So how many ‘White Duanxi Inkstones’ can be left among the layman? White Duanxi Inkstone’ was a symbol of power, authority and control. Administer the fengshui magic by grinding red vermillion on ‘White Duanxi Inkstone’ and your power and benefactors will multiply immensely.

Should I used my black inkstone that will help us to resolve lawsuits and conflicts? Or shall I instead, use the white imperial inkstone which will not help resolve lawsuits but help us win gloriously?

As I was contemplating, I receive news from the lawyer: 

First, Mr Ang refused any terms of negotiation and compromise.

Then he demanded us to pay him back the one hundred thousand dollars deposit on the ground that the deposit was for my feng shui services, since I did not perform the service, I should return him the money.

And the evidence he used to back this up was a second invoice of a similar number, on it was stated "geomancy service."

I stared very hard at this computer generated invoice.

The signature was real. It was signed by me. But it should not have been signed by me. Because invoices like this has always been signed by the sales staff.

Subdue legal conflicts, quarrelsome matters and enhance literati - Duanxi Clear Waters Inkstone (端溪静水砚). From the highest order of inkstone, the duan inkstone (端砚), Lotus on Water suppresses your quarrelsome stars and improves your thinking power. For those who have legal conflicts going on, examinations, and simply despise malefactors. Even this, Master Yun Long Zi blesses it himself with the specially prepared vermilion.

The statement "geomancy service" was fishy. For many years I have been avoiding as much as possible to use the word "geomancy." The word "geomancy" is Greek originated. It is a school of divinity that is probably quite similar to feng shui. So people use this term to translate the term feng shui. 

I avoid using this word because feng shui is not originated from Greece. I prefer to use the Chinese originated word, feng shui, anytime.

I looked very hard at the invoice, there are seven abnormalities. I asked the sales staff Ms M what is this invoice all about? Ms M put on an innocent look and said she knew nothing about it.

I suspected there is something very fishy going on. Ms M came from Burma. When she started working in Lotus on Water, I forbade her from answering telephone calls because both her English and Chinese were hardly clear.

But she worked very hard. She became our top sales in three years time. And she even bought a bungalow in her hometown. She was also, touched by the hands of faith and miracles. Everybody says that she is the most faithful of all my staff.

I vaguely remember that a couple of weeks after fetching the Thousand Hands Guan Yin to Mr Ang's office, she told me that Mr Ang needed a new invoice for the Guan Yin. She said that Mr Ang needed the word "geomancy service" as the description on the invoice. I refused. And I refused to sign on an empty invoice. So an invoice with "Thousand Hands Guan Yin" was signed.

Our lawyer later pointed out that the statement of description on this invoice has a different font. It looks like it was pasted on.

I knew Ms M is not totally clean. But I did not want to complicate things before the hearing started. And I have no evidence against her to do anything.

Mr Kan urged me to put on the Double Dragon Fiery Ball Ring onto my last finger. I have always hesitated on doing that. Wearing that ring on the last finger will get rid of malefactors in your life. However many of the people who are around you, close to you, those whom you love and nourish, can harbor evil intention against you. They can be your malefactor.

Mr Kan told me we are hard press on time, there would be no time showing pity on your enemies. 

And so I put it on. 

Wear your Double Dragon jadeite ring on the last finger, prosper your benefactors, down with your malefactors and people who give you trouble.

In less than a month, Ms M resigned to go back to Burma.

I told Mr Kan, the one who is not loyal to her employer will never be loyal to the clients, and vice-verse. I told Kan to check on all the items she sold to the clients.

Alas, we found out that she has charged clients more by swapping the price tags of a lighter weight with a heavier weight so that she can sell a higher price and earn a higher commission. And we have to ask clients back so that we can refund them the balance.

After the whole lawsuit, we sent for her. We ask her for the explanations on the seven abnormalities on the invoice. She could not.

I gave her two weeks to explain the seven abnormalities, if not we have to send her a letter of demands.

Two weeks passed, two months passed, and we received no news from her. The address she gave us was fake too.

Maybe for her to behave in such manner is probably most normal that people get excited over the amount of money they receive when they work with us, but not so excited about leaving a legacy of faithfulness, authenticity and truth.

Faith helped her make enough money to build a bungalow in her hometown. But she lacks the faithfulness to build many many more.

After her family moved into the new house, the family members met with continuous accidents.

And we even received phone calls from the credit department from banks looking from her.

No God can stop your love ones betraying you, but no Buddha can stop retribution coming upon them.

Trust makes her climbed up to be the top. But she lacks the trustworthiness to stay at the top.

That's why, during the hearing. I have a sudden calmness about me that Kan finds very strange. And he asked me why.

I told him that if we perish, there will be no one in this world who will provide products of such faithfulness and trustworthiness.

Mr Kan being more practical than me reminded me that the righteous in the world may not always win, they sometimes become martyr. I laughed and said yes! Cause they have got no Thousand Hands Guan Yin helping them.

So Mr Kan asked, Mr Ang has got the same Thousand Hands Guan Yin as ours, who shall win?

I answered. Not exactly the same. Didn't we hear Mr Ang's accusation? He claimed his Guan Yin has got two fingers broken. That is the greatest blasphemy and greatest mistake he has done. His Guan Yin shall therefore not move two of her fingers.

And our Thousand Hands Guan Yin shall prove to the world what her two extra fingers can do for us.

We have not only preserved the faith but also the faithfulness as well.

And thus our Guan Yin shall do the same for us.

My own lawyer asked me why would a person who have seen the power of feng shui with his own eyes would want to betray me.

Frankly, I am not sure how to answer. Just like I won't know how one could once could fly with the most glorious wings of angels, touched and raised by the hand of God himself could fall into the fire of hell with horns growing on the head. How could this light called Lucifer sink into darkness and become Satan.

Someone said that if you are a man of faith, you don't need any miracle, and if you are not a man of faith, no miracles would be enough.

Mr Ang is not the first person I know, touched by the grace of miracles yet lost the light of faith.

I had a staff, Ms J. She came to me first as a client. When I read her bazi, I told her she was off to a dangerous voyage to the West and to the North. And I told her: "Don't go. It is dangerous."

Hearing this, she wept. She was in fact planning to elope with her doctor friend to America, leaving behind her husband and her child.

So she gave up on the idea. And a few weeks later, when she called her doctor friend, it was his wife who picked up the phone. The wife told Ms J that her doctor friend met a terrible accident and was still in coma on the hospital bed.

Would she have eloped with him, she would probably be lying on the same hospital bed as well or worse.

Since she have given up on the idea of elope, she decided to patch back with her husband and go for a little honeymoon in Thailand. But on her way back to Singapore, she was caught shoplifting in the airport. She was held up in Thailand for a whole full month. She has forgotten that Thailand is at the north of Singapore.

Touched by the grace of miracles, she came to work for me. Baptized by the fire of miracles, burning with the passion of faith, she quickly became the top sale in Lotus on Water.

Lotus on Water started with the first gallery in 2006. We grew. Today, Lotus on Water has 4 galleries side by side. This is the Lotus on Water Street.

What can be more convincing when you share your own encounter with the Lotus and experienced the miracles she brought?

As most top sales would be. She received many recognitions, not only by me, but also by clients and by many jealous and greedy friends as well.

She made friends with the media people who were closed to us at that time. She entwined closely with the very wealthy clients who meddled with not entirely clean business.

Slowly, the glitters of faith is tarnished. A layer of grey begins to creep and cover the shine. She was told that the Lotus blooms all just because she sold well. She began to be intoxicated with the wine of pride.

Slowly, actions show. She began to steal. Not very big. Just a bottle or two of champagne which were meant for clients. I asked the driver to send her a carton of ten bottles of champagne. I intended to enlighten. Why a need to steal a bottle when the light of faith can provide tens of bottles?

But the intent to enlighten is misunderstood as the intend to bribe and buy. She thought I wanted to bribe and buy her loyalty. And she laughed hysterically, at the Master's stupidity.

She began to patronize. And she made some grave mistakes.

A man with great faith has little greed and can manage fear. But when faith leaves, fear creeps in inviting the need of greed.

Before she came to work in Lotus, she had a condominium in Bukit Timah, a place where the rich people reside. She bought with an intention to flip but then the bubble burst.

When she was caught shop lifting in Thailand, I went to this house to do feng shui to bring her back. After I viewed the house I told her that the house will be restored to an even greater glory and the price will soar.

Now, as what I predicted, the price did rise. And risen it has to a price higher than the price she bought. Then she cannot wait to sell. And she asked me for some feng shui tips to hasten the sales. I asked her why should she hasten the sales since the price will be unimaginably high on years shorter than she would expect?

No. She is like a chicken jumping on a hot pan. She could not wait to sell to free her of her debt. Fear is biting on her patience as it stripped away her faith.

If she would have waited firm with faith, she should have become a multi-millionaire at date today.

But let her will be done and she sold her house higher than the market price.

Once she got the money from the sale of her house, she bought a tiny flat without a single loan.

At the same time, she went for a tour connecting with a few rich man in Shanghai. She came back describing in pompous language the wealth and riches that she saw.

She told me those rich man would invite me to open my subsidiaries there. But with the condition that I must be there. And I caught in her long enchained sentences with the phrase "money laundering makes money earning so stress free." I thought I heard the voice of greed and fear as they chased faith away.

Suddenly she awoke me by saying: "Master! Are you ready and prepared for the great wealth of the China market?!" Sounds like a missionary, but without the mission of faith.

I asked her how much richer need we be? Are we not more than comfortable and enjoying all the luxury? Are we not well regarded and highly esteemed? And most important of all, this is a land of freedom and security. No officials can force on you a service you are unwilling to give. No secret society can blackmail any of your relative. On this island, you don't need to open the door even if the prime minister is knocking on it, if you don't find him fit.

Do not go to the hives where bees will sting.

If you have flowers sweeter than honey, the bees will come to you from north and east.

Disappointed by me forgoing such a great opportunity, and unable to force her will on me, she gave up the job that none other could give.

Advisory work in Lotus on Water is a highly disciplined profession. It takes passion, knowledge, willingness to learn, and most importantly, faith.

I took it to be that she was more angry with herself than she was with me. She always believed that people buy from us because of her tongue so sweet. But I believe people buy from us because they find us trustworthy. So I rather keep the trust and let go of a tongue this sweet. Man shall do what he finds fit to keep his belief. Money is precious but more precious is his honor, grace and integrity. Without these, life is meaningless and tasteless so what is the worth of prosperity? Thus I believe in prosperity only if it comes with elegance and dignity.

Nevertheless, I threw her a farewell party to thank her for her contributions all these years. Also to celebrate with her a new house she had bought. I must have had such a great faith that I was able to be joyful when the top sales left my company.

But I wondered during the farewell, why did she not ask me to take a look in her new house to be?

How could a person who has seen so many feng shui miracles happening in her life suddenly stop believing? 

Has she trusted so much in her tongue and her street smartness that they robbed her of her faith?

But a Master should respect a free will like Heaven would. I took care of whoever was left with me and our faith did prove itself trustworthy.

But a grave news I heard just after she resigned. Her husband caught cancer three months right after moving into the small new house. He had cancer in his liver and another in his nose. 

Out of sympathy, I went to visit them. After checking, I told her the feng shui of this new house bring wealth but no health to anybody. I gave her something to rectify the feng shui for old time sake and ask her to move out as soon as she could.

The Lotus remedy for the house - the Mountain Star crystal. Specially carved as a mountain, with pine trees, houses and bridges, it brings good health and relationship to the household. The exact location of where to place will be advised by us specifically.

Strange thing happens, the finger-long cancer found in his liver disappear suddenly. Within three months after administering my remedy.

Struck by miracle of faith again, her pride and willfulness were temporarily subdued.

She came back to work for us. And we embraced her with love and acceptance.

She was again earnest with her work and served clients, especially those very rich ones, with lots of love and sweetness.

And this time she got acquainted with a very rich lady who own a listed company, let's call her Ms Moon. The rich lady had a grey background. Her family used to sell pirated CDs and she now turned into agricultural industry and her husband helped listed the company.

After testing a few times, she got her on her side. And this time her courage got even more fearless. She conspired with the colleagues, she pulled many clients on her side, she got the support of the rich. With majority and with money, she wanted to conquer faith. She told them she knew the Master through and out. She had learned the skills and there is nothing new. She was fed up of his discipline which was far too harsh. She yearned for the freedom from discipline, willfulness with no restrain.

I knew it was not her husband to do that. It was her who did that. She was frustrated that while she had planned out in perfect scheme to attack me, there was an intervention hand stretched out. The finger of the Thousand Hands Guan Yin was pointing straight on her family life. She was angry that her husband illness was a sign of warning to her. She was angry that again she had to receive mercy from the hand she was attacking.

It was a great day. I could feel the power of Guan Yin released and awakened, power multiplied a thousand times.

In two hours time, my hand phone rang. The bank called me. The bank teller told me that someone banked in six cheques of ten thousand each. I suddenly realized what Ms J was doing. She wanted to spike me on the day I inaugurate the sandalwood Thousand Hands Guan Yin. She banked in six cheques together  on the sixth month because the first cheque would have expired after that. She was not appreciating the kindness I showed, she was making fun of the mercy I have shown.

The bank teller asked: "Do you want to approve the cheques withdrawal?" I looked at this sandalwood Thousand Hands Guan Yin: she is holding two spear-like weapons right in front of her. If grace and mercy are enough to rectify all wrongs, why is this Thousand Hands Guan Yin holding the two longest weapons right in front of her? That is a sign of what I should do.

There is mercy and compassion. There is also swift action.

I told the bank teller to cancel those cheques. And I cancelled ten of those cheques altogether. Ten thousand dollars for each cheque.

The old mountain sandalwood Thousand Hands Guan Yin with ten thousands fingers protected my wealth within two hours of her inauguration.

And I never heard of Ms J working for other employers anymore, least to say an employer more generous with chances and money.

I have been an obsessive person, since young, in almost everything I found worthy of my conviction.

Let me try to explain my two strings of Agarwood beads with an old story and our modern credit card.

Kan asked me about how I came to wear two strings of Agarwood beads. I told him in a casual manner, and he published it.

Well. What I told him was true. But I am not sure if it explain the logic behind.

It's like your child asking you where is God while you are busy, and you just say: "He is watching you." It is not wrong, just that it is not the full story.

This morning, when I was doing my morning walk, I had an idea came to me to explain, with an old story and our modern credit card. Maybe they can help explain.

The Old Story

There was a very old and powerful monk who traveled around as a missionary at the time when medical science was not very advance (well, looking how certain illnesses remain to haunt people, our modern medical science is probably still not very advance -- it has just advanced in convincing us that anything other than modern medicine is not modern and not advance).

This old monk had a mission to save the soul as well as their body. And he carried with him a string of 108 Agarwood beads which he used to pray and chant with everyday.

Whenever he met people with very strange illness that cannot be cured, he will take off one Agarwood bead and put it under the tongue of the patient. The Agarwood bead will melt into the saliva and the patient will swallow the Agarwood beads down. The patient would recover physically and their soul would be rejuvenated as well. They become more energetic, enthusiastic and became more successful with life.

(Yes! Our Agarwood beads are edible, but please try cheaper alternative like panadol if your illness is not that serious.)

So after the monk gave out his last bead, he turned into a dragon and rised up to Heaven as a demi god (or angel in the western sense). He has accomplished his mission.

Credit Card

You see, the 108 Agarwood beads is like a credit card.

Depending on how credible your credit card is, you can swipe it to get a meal, a jewellery, a house or other things you want. In fact Agarwood beads are better than credit cards cause credit card cannot swipe for fortune, benefactor, success, love...

How do we swipe with an Agarwood beads? We normally chant while we flip the beads out. Sounds mythical? Not exactly. Cause each chant means a different message. It's just not the everyday language we use, that's why it sounds mythical. But a foreigner's language is also mythical to us as well. Some chant implies spiritual strength and power, some chant means more beautiful and famous, some chant means wealth. Every time I recite a chant, I flip a bead out. With one string of beads, I would have recited 108 times.

So you ask me: can I use English to do the chant? Of course you can. Especially those sophisticated dreams that ancient chant language didn't cover, for example: my company is listed, I am enjoying sunshine on a yacht, or I am the new elected president...

Obviously those dreams that the ancient chant language covers I prefer, not must, to use the chant language so that I won't have the people around me know what I am wishing for.

And when you flip the beads while reciting your chant or your dreams, your finger is flipping out a bit of the fragrance to the air, to Heaven, to the universe. The universe hearing the vibration will begin to work.

So why do the beads break? It's because some dreams or challenges or obstacles require more than the fragrance of the surface of the beads. It may require the heart of the beads to accomplish that miracle. Like some of the strange diseases that the monk encountered.

So if your beads are occasionally broken, which rarely happens. You should be happy instead of panic. It may means your very important, or big or difficult dream is coming through.

But please don't break it on purpose. It has to happen naturally while you are chanting your dream with it. Or while thinking your dreams while wearing it.

So when your beads break, if they ever. Stop for awhile. Check, examine what were you thinking about, and chanting about. It might be related to that.

The Two Strings of 108 Agarwood Beads

So why so I wear two strings of Agarwood beads?

It's like you are going for a shopping trip. You are afraid that you may over spend your credit limit. So either you apply another card, or just pay some extra cash into the credit account of your card. Of course most of the time, one card is sufficient. But, it's for just in case.

You see, Agarwood has the power of absorbing the qi in the surrounding (whether good or bad qi) and turn it into their own good qi. So you will notice that if you keep the Agarwood in a container, it will look normal. Once you wear it, it begins to shine. It's is absorbing the energy emitted from your cell (Chinese call it qi) and it turns it, combine with it's own and send it to the universe. After sometime, the beads you wear will possess the unique character of your energy combined with its own.

So when I wear two strings of beads, they will react to each other and synergism will be created (in this case, it works better than two credit cards).

Family can occasionally put the beads of each member together (for example at night when members asleep). The beads will react with each other to create synergy of energy.

Before we talk about why Mr Ang was recommended to wear the Lotus 108 sinking agarwood beads, let's talk about a more important person.

One of the blessed persons wearing the 108 sinking agarwood beads is Master Yun Long Zi himself, the founder of Lotus on Water. In fact, he is wearing 2 strings of 108 sinking agarwood beads now.

Eventually, the Lotus was victorious and claimed back the amount plus interest immediately on the second day of the verdict. And the guilty was shamed publicly on national newspaper.

My Four Most Precious Guan Yin: the Fourth (Part One of Five: Mr Ang and the Thousand Hands Guan Yin)

Mr Ang was not our new client. In fact he has been regularly buying our wealth enhancing items.

Like many of our faithful clients, after seeing results wearing our products, he came again and again for products that will enhance him even further. One of the items he did not miss out was the Heaven and Earth Wealth Garnering Ring.

In fact, he has also brought many of his family members and his friends to come see us and bought things from us.

He has got a very loud voice. We all remember him because of his behavior on his first visit to our gallery. His voice was so loud that it traveled to the mezzanine floor where I was at.

I asked my staffs who was speaking so loudly at the ground floor. My staff giggled at his uncouthness and said that he announce himself to everybody that he is a billionaire, not knowing that even the most wealthy have come to us.

I chided at my staffs for sneering at a client and ask them to politely inform him to lower his voice so to not scare away those who come here seeking a life of wealth instead showing a life of wealth.

And I told them that the fact he has an affinity to enter into our gallery has shown that he must have accumulated merits in his karma and for this we shall just respect him appropriately.

Some people have asked me the philosophical question before, if doing feng shui interfere with the cosmic karma of cause and effect.

Well. Yes and no. The effect of feng shui is suppose to bring to people a karma effect more than what they deserve. But they must have done something of a good merit that have created an opportunity to encounter a master who can administer the effect of feng shui.

But since the good feng shui is still not something that they have accumulated the merits themselves, there must still be someone to pay the price for it.

The red vermillion that Lotus on Water uses to do the ceremonious blessing is a symbol of the innocence and precious price paid on behalf of the receiver and administrator of the good feng shui energy.

There was a year I did feng shui for a very big temple in China (land area of slightly more than a hundred hectare). I changed the whole initial plan altogether to borrow the dragon qi of the mountain range. And I forgot to bring my own red vermillion to sprinkle onto the mountain ground. 

The blessing vermilion of Lotus on Water. The purest vermilion is used, mixed with the essence of various precious agarwood, sandalwood, ambergris.

The result of my own carelessness? My tears rolled down from my eyes every time I opened my mouth to speak. It's some parts of my soul thinning into the air. I had to cut my finger to let blood drip into the red vermillion and splash it onto the ground and asked the deity of earth here to send over to the deity of the mountain there, to pay the price of stealing the cosmic karma effect to give to the temple and believers of that area. It took two weeks before I began to recover.

So while many think it's fun to be a feng shui master, ordering people to adjust the design at his command, few understand the responsibilities to be involved.

For that reason I am very particular about the red vermillion we use. I allow no one except myself to prepare it. And I leaked no final secret to anyone lest the price of the blood is upon me. 

All Lotus collections must be blessed by Master Yun Long Zi personally, using the specially prepared blessing vermilion. Otherwise, they will not work.

The dramatic first encounter with Mr Ang did make a memorable impression not expecting an even greater drama to follow. And it has got to do with our sandalwood Thousand Hands Guan Yin.

A Thousand Hands Guan Yin is supposedly the most powerful manifestation of Guan Yin image. 

Some people even believe we should not place Thousand Hands Guan Yin in our residence. But I do not agree with this theory as the two Thousand Hands Guan Yin in my house for many years have helped me accumulate my personal assets many many folds within a very short period of time. 

But what is so special of this Thousand Hands Guan Yin is not only about her shape but also the material it's made of.

The sandalwood that is used to make the Guan Yin comes from the southwest coast of India where the land is sandy and rocky, making the wood slow to grow but grown with exceptionally high amount of oil in the bark.

When the trees are germinated, they have got to be parasite on a peculiar plant which that part of the world has plenty of. The plant has flowers that is poisonously stench, but would keep wild animals away and would induce the secretion of the oil in the sandalwood as it grows.

The trees are harvested when they are above eighty years old. They will need to be stored to allow the oil in the trees to ferment with the oxygen in the air. Another twenty years are gone. Like grape juice turning into cognac, the sharp scent of the wood would be transformed into sweet fragrance.

The wood is carved now. Cares have to be taken. If you carve at the wrong side, there will be cracks in the future. Most people would varnish a layer of lacquer or wax to prevent future cracks. But not for Lotus on Water. If you do that, you would be sealing up the fragrance of the sandalwood and also preventing the wood from breathing in air to continue the post carving fermentation process. That is why all Lotus on Water sandalwood come without varnish. They may not look as shiny as those who are, but their power is organic. They organically live forever, continuing the fermentation process, while enhancing the energy of your house after you buy them and place them in your house. 

"If you have sandalwood from us, you would realize that the scent varies. Sometimes, it is strong. Sometimes, it is weak. We call this breathing. And when it is strong, or you happen to see yours secrete oil like mine, good luck is here."

The Thousand Hands Guan Yin has brought us a lot of business once it was placed in our gallery. Some even commented that they noticed that out of all the shops in the same row, our  gallery was the only one that attracted a lot of clients. 

Thus, when Mr Ang came to ask me to sell him the sandalwood Guan Yin, I refused. So he retorted by asking me why did I fixed a price tag on it if it's not for sale? 

I always believe in honoring the promise I make to people as well as to deities and Gods. I told him I have an identical Guan Yin in my house. And if he really want to buy my sandalwood Guan Yin, I shall let him have that one. 

Mr Ang went on saying that he is a fervent believer in Guan Yin and he would like me to go to his office to see where is the best place to locate the Guan Yin. I felt a bit guilty for not removing the price tags soon enough, and thus has indirectly promised clients of the sales but then I refused , I agreed and he drove me to his office which is a huge factories.

He told me that his wish is for his companies get public listed. And he asked if the Guan Yin is able to help him  do that.  I told him that as long as he locate his company at this premise, it will never be possible. Then he told me he had a new factory, still under construction else where. He asked me to check if that place can help him fulfill his dream. And I told him yes.

He called his agent straight away to sell off his factory so that he can use the money he earn to construct his new factory. But he was not pleased that the agent told him that the market is slow, there is hardly any buyers and the factory worth only 15 million Singapore dollars.

Then I notice that he was not wearing the agarwood wood beads he bought from us that have granted him the wish of his life. He was wearing a fake agarwood beads. And I told him straightaway in his car.

I said, Mr Ang, can't you tell it's fake. How can you believe that something that look like this and smell like this would be real since you have bought the real one from us before.

Suddenly the image of the rich Ms Moon appear in my mind. Of which I will talk about in further length later.

Anyway I comforted Mr Ang that the factory will be sold within six months and at a price much higher than the market price after he placed his sandalwood Thousand Hands Guan Yin where I told him he should place.

Little did I expect that he made use of my comforting words  and my prediction to delay payment. He told my staff, your master "promised" me that my factory would be sold off within six months. If he is right, he should let me pay a deposit and let me pay you back the rest once I get the money from the sales.

Of course I believe what I say. And I am always careful not to give empty promises. Sometimes I assume everyone to be like me, without suspecting. And I allowed him to pay us a deposit and let him take a sandalwood Thousand Hands Guan Yin away and place it in his factory.

Six months later, Mr Ang came back our gallery. He told me his factory was not sold and he did not want the Guan Yin anymore. I told him, we do not accept goods that was brought back by clients because we never sell second hand goods to clients.

The sandalwood Thousand Hands Guan Yin belonging to Lotus on Water. Now she stands in the main gallery of Lotus on Water Street, right behind the 2nd Lotus Guan Yin.

Mr Ang replied he doesn't care if I burn the Guan Yin away. He did not want the Guan Yin anymore because he did not want to pay me anymore money. I was furious when I heard his words. How can a decent human being be so ungrateful  to the grace shown by others. How can a person touched by grace be having no fear and respect towards Gods. I told him to leave my gallery straightaway as I do not want to see him anymore.

He left my gallery shocked by what I said to him. At the door, he told one of my staffs how dare I treat him in such manner, don't I know who he is and what he did in the past?

After he left, Mr Kan, my director of Lotus on Water took out his computer and checked on the internet. Mr Ang's factory was indeed sold. He was lying to us that it was not sold. He sold it for 20 over millions, 5 millions higher than the market price. Straight away after the sale of his own factory, he booked two luxurious cars.

The irony is, he did not leave the factory which I told him to. He rented it from the new owner and continued his operations there.

Events that happened in the next few months brought us into a lawsuit with him. Mr Kan suggested going ahead with the lawsuit against him.

After thinking a while, I agreed and granted Mr Kan the permission to do so. We ought to show mercy and grace to people. But we shall never bow our knees to any one who threaten us with terror or lawsuits. At times we need to be a warrior of the light.

And if this is the time to do so, so we shall.
