We are currently down to the last 5 songs and paintings to talk about! Let's just finish it in this blog and perhaps in the next blog, I would end off with some EXCITEMENT! For example, who are the guests that appeared that day and also why that night was that special! In fact, reading our blogs is actually a way to show the beauty of Master Yun's art paintings and the true value it portrays. 

However, today not just the 5 songs but I will be talking about one of our KEY personnels, Kunhua! A really wonderful radio DJ from YES 933, bilingually fluent and speaks with great confidence, illustrating the BEAUTY and VALUE of the fusion between Master Yun's fengshui paintings and Tenor Zhuang Jie singing.

Without further ado, let's hop into our 1st song of this blog and also the 9th song of this event! It's a little interesting this time round, as we all know, Master Yun's paintings are really special, under daylight it portrays a mixture of REAL GOLD and SILVER, shiny and glamorous. However, under ultraviolet light, it looks like stars in the galaxy, and some even has special effects, for instance a chinese wording is shown, did you see it?

Hence, with all these, we will be introducing two songs, The Wisteria and The Mighty River Flows East. One of which from a Chinese Opera, Mourning. The other is then from the Song Dynasty. However, how can we miss the Thoughts On Paintings? Let's take a look at this painting, one of everyone's favorite - " Birth and Rebirth of Prosperous Life".

No 11: Panis Angelicus 

Panis angelicus (Latin for "Bread of Angels" or "Angelic Bread") is the penultimate strophe of the hymn "Sacris Solemnnis" written by Saint Thomas Aquinas for the feast of Corpus Christi as part of a complete liturgy of the feast, including prayers for the Mass and the Liturgy of the Hours.

What are the fascinating paintings which matches this dazzling song? One of it being sang in the last of Zhuang Jie Sunday LIVE, the "Season Of Sowing And Harvest". And the other being "Golden Sky". Two fantastic paintings involving the elegance of both peacock embraced the paintings, not just that, Master Yun's fengshui paintings are even being collected by the Director of Lourve Art Museum. Let's just display the paintings and the Thoughts On Paintings!

Whatever you call it, the universe always reveal secrets to those with the open childlike eyes in their hearts

No 12: Dein ist mein ganzes Herz

A German song, in English, Yours Is My Heart Alone. Written in D-flat major, Lehár had composed parts of the song already in 1923 when the original version of the operetta premiered under the title Die gelbe Jacke (The Yellow Jacket). When Löhner-Beda re-arranged the operetta, he moved Prince Sou-Chong's passage from act 1 to act 2. With new lyrics, it has possibly become Lehár's most famous single song, popularised by Tauber, who sang it at almost every recital he gave, often as an encore. With Tauber's emigration to London in 1938, it became popular also in the English-speaking world with lyrics by Harry B.Smith, which had originally been written in 1931, and went on to become a staple of light music repertoire for tenor voice. It became a standard and has been covered by artists from other genres, like jazz, swing, big band, and pop music.

And the painting is no other than a mixture of colors, yellow with white and a little complementary blue and green. One of the starting few Master Yun's paintings, the "Golden And Silver Wishes".

If I'm right, this is our 6/13 song and painting mentioned! Which also means, we are half-way through the concert! Such a amazing concert with lots of surprises, before we go to our 6th, 7th and 8th song, we should give some context regarding Master Yun Long Zi and Lotus On Water. No 6: Au fond du temple saint 

A Duet between the Tenor Zhuang Jie & Baritone Alvin Tan, a beautiful French song by Georges Bizet. "Au fond du temple saint" ("At the back of the holy temple") is a duet from 1863 opera Les pêcheurs de perles. The libretto was written by Eugène Cormon and Michel Carré. Generally known as "The Pearl Fishers' Duet", it is one of the most popular numbers in Western opera – it appeared on seven of the Classic 100 Countdowns conducted by ABC Classic FM.

So again, which painting will this song go with? We have seen so many unique, special paintings in the past few blogs and also definitely our Facebook Page! Just in case you hadn't followed our Facebook Page, it's named Lotus On Water! So this painting we are talking about here is "Power Of Heaven, Strength of Great", another silk series painting! So what's the story behind this painting?

易经之乾卦，是纯阳卦。
内卦为乾，外卦亦为乾。
In the Confucius Classic of Divination, reads the hexagram of Qian as pure Yang (positive). Both the hexagram inside and the hexagram outside are Yang.

象曰：天行健 君子以自强不息。
And the interpretation of the hexagram reads: “ it is liken to the healthy functioning of the Heaven. The Great man must self strengthen and sustaining.”

我年轻的时候常想，
为什么要有个＂自＂字？
＂强而不息＂不就行了吗？
何必以＂自＂为赘？
When I was young, I always ponder, why is the word of “self”? Isn’t it redundant.

长点了智慧才知道：庸者，众也。
多未必善。
心得＂自＂强。
When I grow wiser I began to see the multitude in the numbers of mediocrities. The more may not be merrier. The Great has no one to depend on but “self”.

可是如果乾巧遇乾，
内卦乾而外卦复乾。
则朗朗天下。
But if it is of great luck that a great person meet another, the Yang energy meeting Yang, there will be bright light in the universe.

李光耀资政适逢邓小平同志。
It is liken to Magaret Thatcher meeting Reagan, Churchill having Roosevelt, and Lee kuan Yew knowing Deng Xiao Ping.

不仅独善其身，
亦可兼济天下。
A beautiful world becomes a great bright new world.

What made this concert even more special was this 12 years old boy, Ethan Chow Zi Hao, a very young Flautist or rather a really talented one who attained ABRSM Grade 8 certificate with Distinction in flute performance within 6 years.

No 7: The Surging Red River

A song from the Song Dynasty by Yue Fei. Common adjectives used to describe this song for instance, NOBLE and POWERFUL. Since the words from Yue Fei have already sunken into people's heart, with such melody matched by Duan Pintai, this song has truly became a classical music sang by many wonderful musicians and this time Tenor Zhuang Jie. 

Water has been always a form of wealth. Hence making this combination of this song with this painting, " Paradise Drizzling Now".

Let's go to the "b" of our concert! I must emphasize that it was an EXCELLENT night, it even seemed a little too short of FUN! It was often mentioned that time passes really quickly when we are happy and I believe this is truly evident in proving that. 

However, what are the songs that I'm talking about this time? We will introduce three more songs, hence this is the third song we are talking about from this concert!

No.3: Love for the Sea

A beautiful song written by Chen Xiaotao & Chen Yong. This song was written depend on the favor of the ocean, to express its love towards their honorable nation, their enchanting nature and their profound admiration towards their lovers and friends. 

Which painting would this song tally? 

We will be seeing Master Yun's Thoughts On Paintings on this special painting, " Galaxy Of Goodness".

No.4 Quel Guardo Il Cavaliere

One of the most impressive performance I have seen up till now, sang by Gaetano Donizetti and in this concert, by Solo Soprano Teng Xiang Ting. Despite this song being foreign to many of us, but the expressions she made and the skills she had fused so flawlessly which impacted us so well. 

But we are back to the question, which of Master Yun's beautiful painting does this impactful song go with?

The "The Encounter Of Beauty And Strength" is fantastic for it.

No.5: The Horizon 

Touching song written by Jiergeleng and Wulantuoga bringing out the deep flavors of the classical music but at the same time contained elements from the modern music and instruments such as the Piano from Ouyang Lei Lei which truly was a complement to the singing of Solo Baritone Alvin Tan.
