The Classical Chinese use a few terms to describe "art".
We
use "Fa 法" to describe standards and canonization of art. We use "Yi 艺 "
to describe the beauty and aesthetic of art. We use "Su 术" to describe
the skills and methodology of art.
But when art reaches its highest level, we call it "Tao 道".
What does Tao mean? Literally it means the path, the road or the way.
To where? For the Chinese, it is to the heaven. Which means to the
universe, to higher being, to paradise, to higher intelligence, to
truth, to great wisdom...
Feng Shui is a kind of Tao, art is a kind of Tao, and Feng Shui art is a kind of Tao. When it is divinely inspired, and it attains the highest level of reaching up to heaven and allowing paradise to reach us.
When I visited the
Angkor Wat, one of the greats wonders of the world, I discovered that it
is built very closely to the principle and idea of Feng Shui.
When I was given the honor to watch the Apsara Dance, I was amazed that it is also a kind of Tao.
In the past The Apsara Dance could only be summoned by the king. And
when it is performed, it would please the Gods so much that the
blessings from heaven will descend upon the human world.
I am
very honored to know His Royal Highness Prince Tesso Sisowath of
Cambodia as a very close friend. His Royal Highness has graciously
agreed to bring the Apsara dancers to perform the Apsara dance during
the opening of my Art Exhibition here today.
The Netherlands is
not a new and foreign land to me. More than thirteen years ago, a Dutch
man from the Netherlands flew to Singapore.
He has heard about
this Feng Shui Master from their friends and he came to consult me. When
he flew back to the Netherlands the things I predicted to him came true
and he invited me to fly here to Feng Shui his restaurant and his
house.
He have also introduced to me more than a hundred clients
in this country. In these thirteen years, he has grown from one
restaurant to two restaurants and one hotel with three restaurants
inside.
He has also bought and moved in to a huge and beautiful house.
And he is also into the wine business. This Dutch man is non other than
Mr Cornelius Van Hamersveld, the owner of Van Hamersveld wine.
Such is the man when he acts according to the calling and inspiration of the Tao. He is blessed by heaven.
As a believer of Feng Shui, he came up with an idea of the putting my
painting onto his new red wine cuvée call "Feng". "Feng" as in Feng
Shui.
With the launch of my Art Exhibition, is the launch of the new wine by Van Hamersveld wine "feng- win".
Royalties and dignitaries, nobles and entrepreneurs, friends old and
young, ladies and gentleman... thank you for coming to witness this
historical moment.
May you be in touched with the Tao and receive from it many many blessings of prosperity, happiness, health and elegance!
