Being in Lotus for some time and on a regular basis, many
have come to ask me as I endow myself with more treasures over the season, is
there ever enough? Is there an end to buying?
I used to reply, will there be a time when your wealth is
enough? If there is then there will be.
However, I come to realize how wrong I have been all these
while as I attended the second collaboration Master Yun had with UOB to exhibit
his paintings to UOB’s top 0.1% of clients at UOB Reserve.
This time around Master Yun did not just exhibit his
paintings that were already done and framed, he also revealed to us the longest
painting to date he has done, which is due to exhibit next year.
It is 2.4m long, 0.9m wide. More importantly, it has 18 layers
of paint and champagne splash before the 9 peacocks are drawn onto them.
Honestly, does Master Yun need to draw these to increase the
revenue of Lotus on Water? I do not think so. Does Master Yun need to make
extra effort to exhibit his art at different countries and places? I hardly
think so either.
Technically, he is retired.
But he is still very involved in the functions and vision of
Lotus on Water.
Technically he has more than enough wealth.
Yet he continues to grow and expand Lotus on Water.
Why?
Because he seeks not just more wealth, but a greater vision.
One of Greatness and to bring Greatness into the hearts of
every client and follower of Lotus on Water.
If we simply seek more wealth, more benefactors etc, then,
maybe there will come to Enough.
However, if what we seek is Greatness, seeking to bring
ourselves to higher levels of being, of contribution, of purpose, then there is
truly no end to such.
What are you seeking? Simply More? Or Greatness?
