用九：群龙

 

 

The Classic reads: The multitude of dragons are without head.
爻曰：群龙无首

Oh! I thought there were six dragons in Qian hexagram. And why is there extra layer and extra dragons. 

咦！不是说好了乾卦六龙（六爻），怎么又出现了用九群龙。

 

Yes! The extra layers are peculiar only for the hexagram of Qian and Kun.

And in this extra layer, it is multitude of dragons. They are without head. And why is that considered auspicious?
这便是乾卦与坤卦特殊之处。怎么群龙无首也算吉祥？

  

 

 
To quote an example, the Chinese all over the world are influenced by Confucius for thousands of years. Also... Japanese and Korean. In our personal character and our relationship with each other. Our idea of kindness, duty, morality, righteousness, self reliance, reciprocation to kindness, hierarchy of elderly and young, the dignity of a gentleman...
打个比方，今天全球海内外的华人，皆受了孔子影响。他的思想概念，已存在我们的语言当中，规范着我们个人修为与他人关系。如：仁，义，道德，礼尚往来，自强不息，长幼有序，君子之风…

 
These ideas has made Chinese the exception “dragons and phoenixes in the world. And made Chinese civilization the oldest unbroken civilization in the world.
The strength of Chinese Civilization doesn’t come “naturally “. Look at all other civilizations that have “naturally perished”.
We owe the continuation of Chinese Civilization to the wisdom, diligence and persistence of what Confucius has done. 

这些概念使许多华人在世上成为人中龙凤，也使华人这个民族成为世界最古老的文明，也是唯一不间断的文明。

 

 
Many Chinese doesn’t even realize this. Thus, it’s “without head”.

有许多华人，甚至不知道自己独特的文明特色是其实受了孔子的影响。“无首”！

Many foreigners, even quote any wise saying as belong to Confucius even if it is not. So it is even “without tails”

许多外国人，甚至把听到的中文格言谚语都归功于孔子。孔子的思想，也“无尾”。

 

The merits of Confucius surpass any Kings, emperors and sages. He has given birth to multitudes of dragons and phoenixes.

孔子圣人，千古绝唱，却使成千上万的华人成为人中龙凤之。任何帝皇之功，却不及于他。

It is super auspicious. Extra dragons. Multitudes of dragons. Without head. 

超级之吉。用九。群龙无首。

I wrote a huge character “Multitude” in the center, and many repetitions of “dragons”

中书一群字，周围彩墨皆为龙字。一字接一字，一字扣一字，围观群字，无首无尾。
